11runs is a fantasy sports contest site. The folks there wanted to offer SBRforum posters a chance to try out their site and have the opportunity to win some cash.

Their customer service will be the best bet in terms of clarifying any Qs you might have, but if the board collectively has some common inquiries then we'll bounce them off 11runs.

Figured since they were putting on a contest here would throw a small deposit in and enter a contest. Joined an 11 team contest @ $10 a team, payouts are 1st $55, 2nd $20, 3rd $10. Here me out, I'm no math major but 11 x 10 last I checked = $110 and the total payouts 55+20+10 = $85 so where does that missing $25 go? ($110-$85 = $25). Please tell me they do not make that large of a percentage per contest, with a fair amount of contests weekly they would make a killing.

Sutton, your post above is correct. What makes these fantasy sites "Legal" is they have to state the prize pool prior to the contest and they have to live up to that gaurantee. You are exactly right with your rationale above:

That is why I commented they charge ~20% rake or higher. 11Runs is a sister company to 11Rush, which I played last Fall until I figured out their juice is racket. There are other fantasy sites that are much better with 10% or lower rake.
