First week with no games on Saturday. No announcement to make picks earlier this week.

I believe this is a no brainer.

Unfortunately, that is correct ...

Contestants must have their selections posted no later than 11:00 a.m. (ET) each Saturday.

Please tell me your not serious.. There was no annoucement made and I am sure plenty of people figured they would be able to enter their picks late tonight or early tomorrow..

This week was different than that of weeks past cause it's the first w/o games on Saturday..

yes im serious are you 5 years old? should they hold your hand and make sure you get your picks in? get over it its a free contest that pays well to the winners personally i could care less if you get in but to think since they didnt warn you everyone should get a free pass is crazy. seems to me 187 people knew to get picks in

would you care to wager on it? one thing about the SBR is they run a tight ship when it comes to contest rules which is good keeps everyone in line the way it is supposed to be

and yes i would be smacking myself if i failed to get in a free contest that takes 1 minute of your time to post in

187 contestants this week compared to 207+ every week before that. Look at the last few weeks always over 200 contestants.. C'mon dude.. A dropoff of about 10%.

Case closed dude.. Less contestants this week than weeks previous cause like me they figured a contest wouldn't be closed 25 hours before the games start.

I'm for the people man and you just dissed 20 or so people who couldn't get their picks in this week..

It's the holidays man.. This is not the fault of the people that forgot it's the settings that make it to where Sat @ 9am is when it automatically closes..

Unless SBR is attempting to limit the amount of people that are going to win then they should open up the gates..

I just replied in that thread.. If people aren't trying to transfer that prize money to another book by betting both sides of a game or scalping then they are crazy..

The BTP contest deadline for making picks has been the same since the start of the contest and, in the absence of any announcements to the contrary, we will adhere to the following:

Yeah but that was with games on Saturday. I'm not trying to be a dick here man. I just believe it's the right thing to do.

For one it's the holidays. Also I really believe there should of been a reminder that we would have to enter out picks 25 hours before game time which is different than the past 13 weeks where we could enter our picks right before kickoff.

25 hour difference combined with the fact there is 10% dropoff in contestants is reason enough for me to believe the flood gates should be open and us people who weren't aware of this can still enter their contest picks..

BTW that is what happened to me on the BetJamaica contest, I went to put my Pick 2 games in and the deadline was moved up to Thursday the last few weeks because of the Thanksgiving games and all. I wasn't even thinking and missed it two weeks in a row.

Nope, deadline was the same as usual. Some, like myself, thought it might change to something like noon Sunday without there being any Saturday games. I checked Friday p.m. to see if it got moved to Sunday, but since it hadn't been, I submitted my picks prior to the regular Saturday deadline.

Hmmm... since I started this post I will add my 2 cents... The contest rules clearly state that it closes at that time so I'm not pissed... Obviously, the rule is stupid and redickulous in a week like this but that is of course not what we are arguing... As far BigDaddy's whining about it wouldn't be far to those who already made your picks... what do you think you gain by adding 20 people who missed the deadline because they thought it goes off before kickoff... First they would have to beat you, have more picks then you, and you would have to be one of the handful that barely missed the cut off... On top of all that the prick could go 4-0 or 3-1 and make your "added" EV almost nill... so what is the EV after all that? I don't know but I would guess no more then 10 bucks a head in the contest... Enjoy your ten bucks (or whatever the amount is) and we will all continue to laugh at you for showing what a genuine asshole you are (which is worth way more then your 10 dollars of +EV)...

Anyhow, you are correct about the rules so I'll see you all next week...
