#914great reporting
Jake Oettinger made his NHL debut to begin the 3rd period in net for Dallas.
6'5" and 225 pounds, 21 year old from Lakeville, Minnesota
He was a first round draft pick for Dallas in 2017 and has played on the AHL team
Did they put him in because Khudobin got hurt, or just to give Oettinger a feel of the game, thinking they will need 2 goalies as the playoff run continues?Comment -

#918Looked like Khudobin got pissed about that denied goal challenge in the 3rd period for goaltender interference, then just made up his mind I'm not letting them score again. Great work by him from that point on, if you didn't see it. Dallas 3-2 win 31 seconds into Overtime.Comment -

#929Stars, Golden Knights could be down forwards before Game 5 of West Final
Faksa unfit, Hintz game-time decision for Dallas; no update on Stone, Nosek for Vegas
The Dallas Stars could be down two centers for Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Vegas Golden Knights at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Monday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, SN, TVAS).
Radek Faksa remained unfit to play Monday, Stars coach Rick Bowness said, and Roope Hintz will be a game-time decision.
As part of the NHL Return to Play Plan, a team is not permitted to disclose player injury or illness information.
The Stars can advance to the Stanley Cup Final with a win in Game 5 of the best-of-7 series in Edmonton, the hub city for the conference finals and Cup Final.
Faksa did not play in Game 4 on Saturday, a 2-1 Dallas win, after he was injured in the third period of Game 3 on Thursday, which the Stars won 3-2 in overtime.
Andrew Cogliano replaced Faksa in the lineup for Game 4 and had an assist on Joe Pavelski's tying goal at 11:34 of the second period. Jason Dickinson moved from left wing to center, taking Faksa's spot on the fourth line.
Hintz was injured in the first period of Game 4 when he appeared to collide with Stars forward Corey Perry. He left the game at 12:42 of the first.
"We have no update on Roope," Bowness said. "It's too early. We'll meet with our medical staff tomorrow."
If Hintz is unable to play in Game 5, forwards Justin Dowling, Ty Dellandrea, Nick Caamano and Jason Robertson are available to replace him. Each has been a healthy scratch for all 20 of Dallas' postseason games.
"We'll get together later when we know who's ready to go as a staff and we'll discuss that, who is going in," Bowness said. "We'll figure that out when we know exactly what we're working with."
Goalie Ben Bishop remains unfit to play, Bowness said, but he is practicing. Bishop has not dressed for the past six games; Jake Oettinger has been the backup to Anton Khudobin.
Bowness said defenseman Taylor Fedun was cleared to play Saturday and took warmups prior to Game 4 but did not dress for the fifth straight game. Joel Hanley has played in Fedun's absence.
Vegas coach Peter DeBoer said he didn't want to give injury updates Sunday when asked specifically about forwards Mark Stone and Tomas Nosek. There were no updates Monday because of technical difficulities with DeBoer's media availabilty,
Stone appeared to sustain an injury in the second period of Game 4 when he blocked a shot from Pavelski with his foot. He left the game but returned for the third period, although it appeared as if he was laboring.
Nosek was unfit to play in Game 4 after he was injured in Game 3. Nick Cousins replaced him and played 14:06.
Since the conference format was adopted for the 1981-82 season, teams with a 3-1 lead in the conference finals are 34-1 (97.1 percent). The New Jersey Devils rallied to defeat the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2000 Eastern Conference Final and then won the Stanley Cup.

#942Stamkos could return for Lightning during Stanley Cup Final against Stars
Tampa Bay captain to miss Game 1, but 'we haven't ruled him out' for series
Steven Stamkos could return for the Tampa Bay Lightning at some point during the Stanley Cup Final against the Dallas Stars but will not play in Game 1 at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, SN, TVAS).
"He's still rehabbing," Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois said during Stanley Cup Final media day Friday. "We haven't ruled him out."
The Tampa Bay captain has been unfit to play during the Stanley Cup Playoffs but recently resumed skating and has been participating in occasional optional practices and morning skates. The 30-year-old sustained a lower-body injury before training camp for the postseason began July 13.
"He's been skating on and off," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said Monday. "He's on a rehab [routine], and so a lot of days he's either skating by himself or, if we've got optionals or a few guys skating, like [Monday], he's out there with the guys. But there's certain things he can and can't do. It's great to have him around, but nothing's changed in the playing department anytime soon."
Stamkos participated in drills with the top power-play unit during training camp in July but did not participate in a full practice until after the Lightning arrived in Toronto, the hub city for the Eastern Conference through the second round of the playoffs, July 26. He experienced a setback after that and has yet to return to full practices.
Stamkos scored 66 points (29 goals, 37 assists) in 57 regular-season games, second on the Lightning behind forward Nikita Kucherov (85 points; 33 goals, 52 assists) in 68 games. Stamkos has not played since Feb. 25; he had surgery to repair a core muscle injury March 2 and missed Tampa Bay's final five games before the NHL season was paused March 12 due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus.
Stamkos joined the Lightning on the ice for the celebration after they clinched their spot in the Stanley Cup Final with a 2-1 overtime win against the New York Islanders in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final on Thursday.
[Stamkos] is a huge part of our team," Cooper said Thursday. "He's our captain. He's been our captain for almost every day that I coached and he's a big reason why we're here, and this season he hasn't played in the postseason, but he's a big reason we made the playoffs, a big reason we finished pretty high in the conference."
Kucherov leads the postseason with 26 points (six goals, 20 assists) in 19 games, and Brayden Point is tied for second with Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon with 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) in 17 games. Victor Hedman's nine goals trail only Paul Coffey (12 in 1985 with the Edmonton Oilers) and Brian Leetch (11 in 1994 with New York Rangers) for most by a defenseman in a playoff year. They are tied with Coffey for most by a defensseman before the Cup Final begins.
Andrei Vasilevskiy is 14-5-0 with a 1.82 goals-against average and .931 save percentage.
"You need a lot of good players to get to this point, and resiliency," BriseBois said. "Once you get into the playoffs, the difference in talent between the teams is minimal and ... it really does come down to resiliency and taking advantage of the breaks you get along the way and overcoming the breaks that go against you along the way."
Point returned in Game 6 of the conference final after missing Games 3 and 5 because he was unfit to play.
"I think everyone on both sides has got something they're dealing with," Point said. "You don't get here without getting dinged up a little bit. It's just about competing."
