#633LT, the reasons you are giving for not implementing a FAAB system makes zero sense. If you don't want to be bothered you don't have to lift a finger, just allow $0 bid transactions and that way even if someone runs out of money they can still make adds throughout the week.
The real reason I suspect that you don't want to shift out of the current system is bc you are not comfortable with change and the mental aspect it would require. And that is completely fine, I for one appreciate the fact that you have setup and run this league for everyone but just be honest about the real reason why you don't want a better systemComment -

#636It should be obvious by now, but issue is I want nothing to do with bidding. Allowing $0 bids does not change that because I don't want to be bothered with trying to figure out what % of the budget to assign to my bids. That is the extra skill set I was alluding to that has nothing to do with fantasy football itself.
Literally zero brain matter required. I don't have a need, or want to move up the waiver wire and hold a position? Cool, I don't make a bid that week.
See that was easy.Comment -

#637Guys always on my ass about something. Looked at his post hisotry once and half were just replies to me. I may have been a bit harsh so I'll redact my post.
Sounds like most here on onboard for at least no resets on waivers weekly. We can vote on it, and if it's agreeable, then implement it next year.
If not, Best of Luck next year. I will not be participating. It's pretty simple. No one cares. A zillion leagues to join.

#638I've said (and others as well) that we are perfectly ok with the rolling waivers WITHOUT reset. FAAB would be super fun, but I sense a resistance to such a change so I think it's more then a fine middle ground no?

#639Right, I have no issue with going to rolling waivers. If I am understanding correctly, the only difference between that and what we have now is where you stand for your initial claim each week. Once you make a successful claim, you to back of the line under both systems right, meaning the change would only impact your first claim of the week?
So I can choose to not make a claim, and get a better waiver position and "move up the ladder"
Say let's say I'm 1st in the league. I have 12th waiver spot. Everyone makes a claim and I don't. I will be in 1st position and it DOESN"T reset on Wednesday and knock me back to 12th, which is what we have now and is very unfair and ridiculous.Comment -

#640Yes. It starts based off standings. The biggest and most unfair part now is that it RESETS every week. So unless you're bottom 1/2, you get scraps every week and get reset to a bad position every week.

#656I don’t deserve to be in the playoffs if I can’t get 20 points combined between Lockett and Hollister. Lockett can go for 40 one week but when I need him most he gets a big fat donut. Have fun in the playoffs boys like I said I don’t deserve to make it.Comment -

#665Helluva run by Convick to secure that last playoff spot. And to top it off, he gets the top score of the week by 1/2 point. Nice job man! Tough break for jrgum with Lockett putting up a goose egg on MNF. Hamburger league is no joke- probably the toughest league I've ever played in. GL in playoffs to those who made the cut.Comment
