also, I saw where pts are awarded for going forward, but didn't pay enough attn to see if you lose pts via deduction if your driver finishes worse than he qualified.....

any info on these subjects would b e appreciagted

yhink it means like truex qualified well but he failed inspection after duels and starts in the back. So he may have qualified 10th but starts 38th

i understand that, for eg, if they switch a motor or fail inspection, you use they qualifying position, but since the 500 has the duels that no other track has, is the post-duel starting grid the official qualifying position, or is fox nevertheless using the qualifying times that set the field for the duels?

Good point donkers.

Jr and wlliot start from actual qualifying positions and rest if the field set by the duels. I would guess it's the duel races but I'm not sure with the fantasy stuff. Shaun knows for sure.

let me clarify

its the actual qualifying postion

go to the picks page and it tells you the postion for example truex jr starts from 35 for the contest , but will start last in the race
