Tommy Medica. A natural first baseman, Medica is batting a robust .296/.420/.646 this spring and could at least see time in the outfield versus southpaws as well as spelling (replacing?) Yonder Alonso at first. Medica is worth a flier in deeper formats.


Jackie Bradley (OF-BOS). Bradley went 0 for 4 on Friday, dropping his spring BA to .182 in 44 ABs. Bradley has been outperformed by 
Michael Brantley (OF-CLE). Brantley went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI on Friday, to raise his spring average to .500. Brantley is a solid play as an OF4 or OF5 in standard mixed leagues, as he provides solid across-the-board production in all categories. We project him to hit .296 with 13 HR, 76 R, 74 RBI and 18 SB in 2014.
