Yeah, we should continue to build this league up. Real good competition here. Everybody has some decent insight into Nascar. If we could get some extra players in, the jackpots could really get up there.

It's not like F1 changed it race date to cause that. Even though I agree they are dumb to have clashed with Homestead the first 2 years.

the big guys at F1 really must not have a clue about the U.S. market....what a mess that is gonna make when they see the #s....90% of nascar fans wouldnt even buy tickets (or free ones) even if its on the same day at the same track...they would rather just eat and get drunk-er

It's probably just a matter of no other dates that fit. And probably better than the Homestead clash, or no worse at least.

Bigger problem for the F1 crowd size will be if Mexico gets its own race and they stop coming.

Not that they are struggling for a crowd despite the clashes btw. Think it was 140,000 this year.

Man, F1 use to be a good series, now all the best drivers are gone. They gotta do something if they ever hope to gain a fan base back.

Well guys, it looks like ESPN has done away with our Stock Car Challenge. They released their up coming scheduled 2014 fantasy games yesterday, SCC was left off, so when you contact them, they write back informing you its not gonna be offered this year.
There are 3 other game options we can look into:

1. Yahoo- where you have driver limits( How many times they can be used per segment) and roster has to be set by 3am on Friday.

2. Foxsports- The foxsports.com game also is a pick 5, but is not a cap game, and you can not use the same driver more than 4 times per segment, it has the bonus driver / team captain when your pick of a team captain comes in for a win, and you get the double points.

3. Nascar.com- with nascar.com you have a hour before the race to make picks , no driver limits and you pick a pit crew and a car make for even more points...its a pick 5 with a 100 floating salary cap, it's points structure is very different.

I have not looked into them much yet, to really see the Pro's & Cons. Just thought i'd let you guys know where things stand as of now, and gage interest to see if we even want to continue this contest.

two tier a, three tier b, three tier c I think

but you can only reuse one driver a week, so if you want to use Jimmie again, all the other drivers must be different

I did not like the format of the other ones I tried briefly.

The Yahoo one insists you sign up with a yahoo ID. And is bloody confusing to deal with if you try it with multiple yahoo IDs.

I have stopped joining any site that requires this. I don't want everything I do tied to one account from anyone.

i used to play on a free site collectiveracing.com, the guy sells die-casts but also had 2 diff fantasy games. on 1 you pick 1 driver from each of the 9 groups, the other you guess the finish for the whole field of 43. I haven't played there in a few years but looks like the games are still active. site used to give out diecast prizes but think they stopped, not that it matters since we'll be playing for our points here anyway. you can't see each others teams or immediate scores but he always published results within a day or 2 and we can see all the final scores and weekly ranks. check it out, maybe it's an option to consider.

Yeah I've seen that site. But I'm just not sure im gonna play this season without the espn game. I lives that game. Very very easy and like 5 man team and 100 mil salary cap.

Im still shocked espn isn't going with it. They had plenty of players on the contest last season. Just strange. I mean its on their own damn network for the fukkin chase
