Big number, but the Ducks are quacking on all cylinders. They have beaten this number in the over direction in two of their five games so far this season, falling at 52 in another. They average 56.6 ppg while Washington State is giving up 42.5. The Cougars have given up 92 points in the last two weeks against UCLA & USC combined. Neither is quite as dynamic as Oregon which should have a field day against State's weak defense that can be gashed on the ground or through the air. This could be a big stat padder for LaMichael James. Oregon has scored 52 or better in three straight vs. Washington State.

7:00pm ET: Oregon State +8.5 [-110]
Beavers continue their brutal schedule with a visit to Tucson. OSU has faced the #1 and #3 defenses in the country in TCU and Boise State, now getting #2 in Arizona. OSU is 13-3 ATS in their past 16 roadies, including covering both road tilts in 2010. Arizona's home games against Cal and Iowa were very close, a TD or less. The Beavers have a shot to stay within this number tonight if they can find success on offense early.

Updating through completed games with Oregon & Oregon State plays remaining. 2-2 this afternoon. Cal-UCLA sucked. UCLA got the ball at the Cal 9 in garbage time and couldn't do a damn thing. They looked awful today, Cal pretty much shut it down up 28-0 at the half.

8:00pm ET: Houston-Mississippi State UNDER 57.5 [-110]
Mississippi State is holding opponents to just barely over 16 ppg this season. Last year, they met Houston with Case Keenum with Houston winning 31-24. The Bulldogs could presumably be expecting to hold his Houston unit to less with Houston using their 3rd string QB. Look for the Bulldogs to try and control the tempo with their running game. They average 172+ on the ground with Houston yielding 162. If MSU can keep Houston from getting their own ground game going and force Broadway to beat them through the air, I think this one will finish in the low 50s.

Knights have scored a couple defensive TDs already this year and face a mistake prone Marshall squad. UCF was laying the ball on the turf last week against UAB like it was a giveaway night, so they too have had some issues. UCF also has returned a kickoff for a TD. Marshall also has one kickoff TD this season.

10.14.10: [7:30pm ET] Kansas vs. Kansas State 1st Half UNDER 25 [-110]
Both of these teams have not been that great at getting out of the gate quick. K-State has scored ten points or less in four of the five first halves they have played this year. KU has scored seven or less in three of five first halves this season. K-State especially should be paying close attention to the Jayhawks' speed on offense early after Nebraska crushed them with big plays last time out. KU will focus their attention on RB Daniel Thomas who has been held in-check two straight games. Expecting both teams to pound the ball on the ground early to try and take advantage of the weaker spots of the opposition. Should keep the clock rolling and if both defenses can come up with some timely stops, I think this will stay under in the 1st half with more points in the 2nd half.

10.15.10: [8:00pm ET] Louisville vs. Cincinnati OVER 55.5 [-110]
Going contrary apparently to the "sharps" again who have pushed this total down 2.5 points from its opening spot. Both defenses have their problem areas. Cincy has struggled mightily against the pass and Louisville has the attack to take advantage of that. Louisville hasn't faced an attack like Cincy's which should mirror somewhat what Oregon State did by running the ball some against Louisville. Zach Collaros will test a Cards secondary that hasn't seen this sort of speed and skill yet.

12:00pm ET: Memphis vs. Southern Miss OVER 48.5 [-110]
Just like last week, trying the over involving Memphis. Their defense is unbelievably poor as they have now given up 48 or more points in four of six games this season. Southern Miss has topped 30 in four of six and scored 40 or better in two straight. They are a good dual threat club with QB Austin Davis & a cast of runners who get touches and can produce. I won't expect much from Memphis, but if they could actually score that would be great! Maybe playing at home will help a little.

1:00pm ET: Temple vs. Bowling Green OVER 51.5 [-110]
The Owls have scuffled defensively the last two weeks, giving up 66 points. The positives for them are that those came against run oriented teams, whereas Bowling Green does most of its damage passing. BG will be chomping at the bit though as NIU was very efficient through the air against Temple last week. The Falcons have scored 21 or better in each game, while conceding 28 or more in all six games. Expect Temple to use Pierce & Brown to grind out big yards against a poor Bowling Green defense that is giving up over 250 yards per game on the ground.

2:30pm ET: Notre Dame vs. Western Michigan OVER 53 [-110]
Should be a good aerial show between these two with Notre Dame ranking 19th in passing yards per game, while Western Michigan is 23rd. The Broncos should especially be licking their chops against an Irish D that has struggled against the pass, ranking 99th in passing yards allowed. Notre Dame may look to pound the ball as well with Western Michigan ranked in the bottom quarter of D1 in rushing yards allowed. The Broncos have given up over 30 points in three of five games this year.

3:30pm ET: SMU +105
The Mustangs take their pony show on the road against Navy. SMU has quietly gotten off to a solid 4-2 start. Their losses came to TCU & Texas Tech. Offensively, the Ponies are led by QB Kyle Padron who has tossed 16 TDs so far this season. He averages over 250 yards per game. Look for SMU to attack a Navy D that gave up 326 yards passing to Wake Forest last week. Defensively, SMU has been sturdy vs. the run. allowing just 115 yards per game. I think SMU will be keen to avenge their choke job against Navy last year when they led 21-7 at the half before giving up 28 second half points. They eventually lost in OT. If SMU can get off to a quick start offensively and force Navy to play catch up, they will have a shot to steal this one.

6:00pm ET: Virginia vs. North Carolina UNDER 46 [-110]
Virginia has been better on defense against the pass which is the Tar Heels strength, so that could bode well. Look for UNC though to try and mash some on the ground against UVA that is giving up 210 yards per game there and has been crushed the last two weeks by Georgia Tech & FSU in that category. UNC's defense has been much better in their last three after a rough start. They have not allowed more than 17 points in their last three. Their offense has not been totally clicking, scoring 24 or less in four of five this year.

8:00pm ET: Air Force -110
The Falcons visit the surprising San Diego State Aztecs tonight. SDSU is 3-2, but coming off a loss to BYU 24-21. The Aztecs have good numbers vs. the run, but that comes after not playing anyone who commits to the run like Air Force. Air Force has owned SDSU the last three meetings due to SDSU's inability to stop the run. The Academy should have success against this squad after BYU gored SDSU for 271 yards on the ground. The Air Force D will have to continue to bend and not break against an Aztecs offense that has moved the ball equally well on the ground and via the air.

The Warriors are under rated IMO. Nevada has not fared well traditionally in Hawaii with Hawaii winning all five meetings in WAC play in Hawaii. Don't know if the Warriors will win outright again here, but I think they will keep it close to the end.

10.21.10: [9:00pm ET] OREGON-UCLA LONGEST TD SCORED OVER 59.5 YARDS [-110]
To say the Ducks are explosive both offensively and in their return games would be a huge understatement. They have had "explosive" plays resulting in TDs of 60 yards or better in all but one of their six games. LaMichael James has been responsible for several and could hit another one against a UCLA run defense that has given up good chunks of yards at times. The other likely culprit would be Cliff Harris who has been a beast on returns. And let's not forget the Oregon defense which may have a shot at an inexperienced QB tonight. Unless UCLA does this on a return or defense, I don't think they'll be helpful ... but you never know.

FCS action, catch it. Central is a solid scoring squad that could feast on the ground against an Albany team benching two starting D-lineman for the 1st half. Central also has a pretty porous defense, so in spite of Albany being a mediocre offense, they could put up some points tonight with a red shirt frosh getting his first start.

[12:00pm ET] INDIANA +14 [-120]
The Hoosiers still have one of the more dynamic offenses in the Big Ten. Illinois has not faced a pass offense like IU, so the Hoosiers could find some success. Indiana has been competitive in all but their loss to Ohio State. If Indiana can move the ball and convert their possessions into points, I think they stay within this number.

The Jackets run up against Clemson. Road team has been successful in this series at 9-3 ATS in the last 12. Clemson's defense has scuffled some this season and did not shut down the option offense last year in two meetings. I expect Tech to be in this throughout and would not be surprised if they win outright.

The Bulldogs have eclipsed 14 points in all but one game so far this season. They come in off their best offensive performance of the year, hanging 48 on Idaho. Granted, Boise's defense is a trillion times better than Idaho's, but the confidence will still be high for the Bulldogs. La.Tech has now gone eight straight on the road - dating back to last season - with at least 14 points scored. Boise has given up at least 14 points in both their home games this season. Let's go garbage time.
