I am aware that casinos, particularly perhaps in Atlantic City, have the ability to shuffle up when they want to in blackjack. Is it the case anywhere, or has it ever been the case, that a house simply keeps a competent count itself and shuffles up if the count gets too good but otherwise deals close to the end of the deck?
