That 1st kick fractured or broke a rib. No doubt about it. He was tough enough to keep fighting through it. Every time he got tagged again in the area obviously really, REALLY freaking hurt. Very few humans could do what Brown did tonight. His pain tolerance is beyond super human.

If this fight was in Brazil, it might have been stopped in the first round. I really thought the ref was going to stop it tonight when Silva was pounding away.

The only weakness I saw is how to finish.. Perhaps protect the body a little better but that exposes the chin.. Catch 22 with a good leg kick stricker...

Matt Brown was never broken mentally in this fight even though he couldn't finish when he went all out.. He's mentally tough and has confidence and skills to win fights now as he's carrying on that win streak...
