Pretty sure I'm a horrible person. Only watched a little video on Rothwell/Vera, yet I feel really strongly about it. He's just so much bigger, Vera's so out of shape, the only way Vera wins this is if he keeps his distance for the first two rounds, no?

The only fights I can remember seeing Vera win were the ones when he kept his distance and used his striking game +reach advantage. Rothwell is going to be much harder to do that to. Granted vera is a better striker. I think Rothwell can keep it somewhat competitive at range and win the clinch battle.

Throw in the fact that Rothwell has only been submitted twice and vera has only submitted one person in his career(he is a black belt in bjj though). Also consider that Rothwell can take a lot of punishment. I don't see Vera stopping him. He could definitely win a decision though. I could see that happening.

Agree about Vera decision, hadn't thought about it in those terms before though - thats at +450, kinda tempting to hedge .24u on that... still win .76u if Rothwell, negligible loss (.02u) if Vera dec. Course if the impossible happens we're out 1.34u but thats not so bad for the likelihood.

No I didn't watch anymore tape on anyone but Ive already seen the Soz,Couture,Thiago silva, jon jones and parts of the shogun fight. Ive seen pretty much all of Rothwells ufc fight.s

Lim v Krauss? Lim has a freakish reach advantage, but I don't like the way he strikes with arms down. Pretty accurate imo, but does some silly stuff when grappling. Krauss kinda tight with his striking... haven't been able to determine too much about him...
