Seems Like Bitcoin Network Wants Minimum Fee At Least 11 Satoshis

Just giving you the heads up to anyone who was doing low fees.

They are intentionally holding all transactions 0-10 satoshis. Even though the network has been smooth lately.

I still have a transaction being held up for 48 hours now.

Don't be a cheap ass like myself.

I still have hope then. I didn't need to convert it or anything... and it didn't need to be anywhere at a set time... so I typed in 2 satoshis. And... yeah... I hope it doesn't get held up all the way to the FORK.

I am new to all this bitcoin thing and am trying to send 200 to my betphoenix account. I use blockchain.info wallet. They have a default fee built in supposedly to get your transaction confirmed the quickest way. I just found out that it was 5 sat/B. Looks like I have a long wait. First and last time using bitcoin for me. I never like not having some sort of control over my funds until I give them to someone. I just hope I don't lose my money.

LOL. Yea I sure won't. Dealing with these off shore books has become too much of a pain in the ass to send and receive money any more. Gonna call my old Italian buddy and go back to the old school gambling ways.

The amount being sent doesn't determine the fee, it's the amount of data required to process the transaction and how congested the network is. The more data required to run the transaction, the more you'll have to pay. The more congested the traffic, the more you'll have to offer to the miners to entice them to process it. Recently, I've seen people on average are paying a couple dollars to deposit, but it's still taking a few hours so one option is to also run the transaction through an accelerator to try and push the transaction through faster.

One option that can help with faster deposits (depending on if your book will allow this) is taking the road less traveled and using a different cryptocurrency to deposit such as Litecoin or ETH. BetOnline (which I have done before) and Bookmaker allow this option off the top of my head. Only problem is the exchange rate may be slightly less favorable because of their processor, but I know the transfer fees under both options are much better lately than Bitcoin since the traffic is much lighter.

Am I crazy for paying $3-4 in network fees for a transfer of $100-200? If I want the money sent within an hour there's no other way it seems like

Another question, all of this money we pay in fees, goes to compensate the miners, correct? So every time I am in a rush and don't want to wait, I am paying extra to those Chinese mining pools?

Depends how fast you need it there. If you just need it there that day rather than within an hour, as long as the fee is above a few cents (say 50) you can use an accelerator which will get it through in a couple of hours. Otherwise, considering how congested the network has been lately, you're going to pay if you need it there fast (within an hour).

And yes, the fee pays the miners to put the transaction into the block they mine. Not all of the miners are based in China, but the vast majority of the computing power to run the network is Chinese (electricity is very cheap over there which makes it much more profitable).

Well... sort of impossible because you aren't a pro here and you can only send 2 points a day currently for non-pros. So, there's no point.

So, I suggest you pony up all those Bitcoin Investment Dollars you've made and go pro for $100. And donate to the "Angelman Syndrome Research" here at SBR.

There's usually a College Bowl Game Contest.... and you pick 15 games.... and I'll pick 15 games.... and I'll drop you like a bad habit guy.

    How's that?

Don't be a broke dik fuk. Go Pro.

Name the terms and I'll take your money
The other guy calls the top AND the retrace, but only right 5% of the time......maybe you should STFU and you could learn something, instead of constantly losing your ass

First he says I'm right 5% and then says I call things after the fact.....what a freaking moron

    https://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/players-talk/3348720-bitcoin-price-tracking-discussion-2017-a-p43.html

Yep, called the top and the retrace after the fact........considering my post was the 6th and the top was the 8th.....nice try, idiot

    https://www.sportsbookreview.com/for...017-a-p31.html

Yep, called it going back to 5000 within a month on 9-22 when BTC was 3800, went back to 5000 Oct 7th....two weeks later, and hit 7000 Nov 1st, but yeah, after the fact.

Nice try making things up.....its easy to see you're a moron

The facts are you lose your ass and I make money doing this. Sucks to be a fool, but you keep going all in at the top like the noob that you are.

You went all in at the top. If the info was already out, why would someone do that.....unless they are just plain retarded. Not a single person in the BTC thread called the top and then a retrace, except me. Haha, you dont even make sense. You say info was out but you did the exact opposite and lost your ass. That makes you look even dumber than just not knowing what you're doing

Luke the Fluke, LukeSkywalker? Is this supposed to be funny? I'm not 13. You talk like someone in their 40s from a trailer part. Why are you still playing on a forum at your age? That big of a loser in life?

Guy loses his ass daily on betting and bitcoin, wants to play for forum points and calls others broke. This is so dumb you cant even make it up.
