i have few questions here hopefully i can get the answers also
my friend lives in GHANA an is a american citizen. her uncle has crypto that belongs to her in amount of 20K.
they say she cant open a account in ghana because she is not born there not a citizen.
her uncle wants to wire this crypto amount in a wire transfer to her what does she do here to get this money due her
what are her options here. any info here wud be much appreciated ( Ben ty

What sort of account is she not able to open? A bank account or a crypto exchange account?


If she has a US bank account I would think she can open an account at Coinbase from Ghana and withdraw to that.

She could just get a crypto wallet to take possession of the crypto. Exodus is a good one for a desktop computer. Exodus.io

She could then send the wallet's Receive address to her uncle. (i.e. "Send my crypto to this address"). If it's Bitcoin, send it to the wallet's Bitcoin address.

She'll need an exchange and any type of bank account to turn it into cash (Send the crypto to an exchange, turn it into cash, send it to a bank). I have no idea what the options are in Ghana.

No. I thought as a US citizen she may already have a USA bank account.

She can do this. People from Ghana do bet and use bitcoin.

As Optional pointed out, Coinbase should work.

Do a lot of research before making a $20k transaction to Ghana. Crypto world filled with scams and many links will send you to the wrong place.
