#2I just tried to log in to the Crypto.com app and it wanted me to reset my 2FA. So, I had to enable 2FA again and go through the setup. The app seems to be working fine now.
Seems like they are adjusting things. Since 2FA is used when white-listing, you may need to enable or reset your 2FA. Try it again.
If not, contact them - click on Home in the lower left and then click on the chat icon in the upper right.Comment -

#4OK, well, "temporarily unavailable" means "come back later". Contact them if you wish and verify they are making adjustments.....
Withdrawal Whitelisting - Temporarily PausedSubscribe
Investigating - Withdrawal whitelisting is temporarily paused, but withdrawals are still enabled. We appreciate your patience and will work on unpausing whitelisting as soon as possible. Thank you.

#5Crypto.com customer service like any other exchange is pretty much non existent. They will reply 3 days later if they feel like it. Why can't these places just hire more customer service reps instead of spending millions on stupid commercials? They did have an issue though last night and disabled all withdraws for several hours and made everyone reset their 2fa. Instead of putting a message on their website I had to find out through a news article.Comment -

I wonder if the color of your card has something to do with it....Comment -

#7I was checking out twitter and a bunch of crypto.com users had their accounts emptied, bypassing 2FA, so that explains the 2FA reset. I wonder if this was an inside job, another reason not to keep your crypto on an exchange.Comment -

#8I don't trust any of them. I only buy and then send immediately to sportsbooks or I transfer back to exchange and cash out immediately. This is a problem with bitcoin. If my bank or debit card gets hacked I can get the money refunded. If it happens with bitcoin you are never going to see that money again.Comment -

#9I don't know but I've done hundreds of transactions with them for large amounts of money. However after waiting a day with no response I replied back and called them a bunch of pathetic assholes and a piece of shit company so maybe they blocked me. Lol.Comment -

Hackers usually need help as with phishing scams so gotta stay on your toes... Very important to learn to recognize a phony email. Check the sender's email and judge whether it seems legit. Small misspellings or Gmail accounts that present themselves as representing a big company should send up red flags. Websites without the HTTPS and the lock icon in the address bar should be avoided.Comment -

#11Wow, that's interesting. You'd think there would be some sort of news stories on this but there may not be any truthful journalists left in the world.... My understanding is that Crypto.com has a little something for user protection but I don't know the details...
Eh, that's the deal with being your own bank. We have several generations that have never had to worry about about the responsibility of managing their own wealth. Banks have FDIC and CC's have reverse transactions - until the day they don't. So many are now predicting the demise of the USD that it is not if, it is when...

#12From what I’ve read, this wasn’t a user issue. The full responsibility of this breach is on crypto.com, no matter how much security the users had , it was all disabled on the backend and their accounts were drained. That is why you’re not going to hear or read much about it. Crypto.com wants this to go away and I’m willing to bet they will pay big money to make sure it does. Think about it, they made EVERY user reset their 2FA, and disabled withdrawals for the whole damn site for hours. This was either an inside job or hackers had so much backend access they could take full control of users accounts without their knowledge. No email, no sms text, nothing.

They have to be a big target for hackers. Binance and others have had issues like this before. Hopefully, they've learned something about their security from this....Comment -

#15[QUOTE=PD77;30734158]I’m positive it is. Just be glad your account wasn’t completely drained. Looks like crypto.com users lost at least 15M worth of Ethereum already.
They all have been reimbursed. Crypto.com isn't going anywhere and will be the new bank of the future along with a couple other apps.Comment -

#16No doubt they are flush with cash if they can drop $700,000,000 on naming rights for crypto.com arena and $100,000,000 on a Matt Dameon ad campaign. $15,000,000 is a drop in the bucket but if they fuk up too many times they’ll take the path of Mt. Gox.Comment -

#18"The company said it has also added a new policy where the first withdrawal to a whitelisted address must wait 24 hours, as well as a program to refund users up to $250,000 if unauthorised withdrawals are made, and certain terms are met."
Say goodbye to using crypto.com for gambling if this is a permanent policy now.Comment -
