I sent money from there to two different places before 4pm et, both have 0 confirmations
I'm fairly new at bitcoin still but shouldn't it be done by now??

It's not blockchain.info in particular. Confirmations are regularly taking an hour or more.
They should happen in less than 10 mins when the system is working as designed.
I 'think' it has to do with the fight over what the next version of the code should be, which has been going on for near a year now.
Hopefully once solved we can get back to reliable fast transfers.

oh ok thanks chief
not that it matters much for an hr, but is my $800 volatile to the fluctuation of bitcoin during this process?

Yes you're vulnerable to price changes during that wait time :\
Thankfully right now it's pretty steady and trending up so not a problem. Which has been the case for over 90% of bitcoins life btw.
Next time you send try adding about 50% to whatever the blockchain suggested fee is to give yourself a better chance of being picked up by a miner faster. So if it says 35cents, change it to 48cents. No need to go any larger as it wont help most of the time.

I waited 5+ hours last week and others have waited over a day. Sucks.
