More and more, Alexi Ogando's early season success is looking flukey...Looking awful today.

#114Thanks man, same to you, also, hoping that Gee pulls an Ogando this game. I'm from New York, and Gee's last outing was reminiscent of the game that Ogando pitched against the yankees when he couldn't hit his spots (although Ogando's was a much larger implosion). A lot of people are on Gee for his early season value, but lets hope the Bea$t knows Be$t!Comment -

#120Wow, because of a questionable call at the plate in favor of the Dodgers, they just hit a walkoff to cash the play. Great start to the day. Is it just me or is anyone else fairly unconcerned when they have cash on the Dodgers in the 9th and they're trailing? I feel like every time I'm in that situation, they walk it off...
Lets hope the night finishes well for another amazing day to continue a phenomenal run.

#121I almost broke my TV after Wells hits a homer. But the umpire screwed the Angels with that bad call at the plate. For our lucky.

-HUGE Reverse line movement in favor of the Cubs. About 60-65% of the public on the Rockies-probably seeing HUGE value on Chacin who has been unreal lately. Line opened at anywhere between -125 to -135 favoring the Rockies. Public saw huge value on Chacin against a struggling Garza and struggling Cubs team and threw heavy on the Rocks. However, the line has moved down significantly at most books. Pinnacle moved it from -125 to -108 for the Rockies, 5dimes has moved it from -124 to -109 for the Rockies. Despite the heavy bets on the Rockies, the books are baiting the public for even more money on the Rockies at even GREATER perceived value.
-Two struggling teams playing here. Rockies are 3-3 on their current roadtrip with two losses to the Yanks in their last two. Cubs are coming off a 2-4 road trip. I think the Cubs turn things around today coming back home, despite facing a hot pitcher.
-Chacin has been unreal this season, and absolutely fictional in his last three starts (2-0, WHIP 0.92, ERA 0.87)...Let's be honest, it's time for him to come back to Earth...
-Rockies have won the last 3 meetings between the two teams and are 7-1 in the last 8 meetings...As I much as I hate to say it, the Cubs are DUE for a win, especially at home.
This is the basis of my thinking on the game. Either way, GL. I'm a little nervous making it such a big play, but I've been on a roll so I have units to play with.

#129Upping the Cubs play to a 10 unit play...I'm feeling really good about this play, and being up as much as I am, I feel comfortable putting that on it. 5dimes has not moved the line so I will edit the original post to reflect the units upgrade at the same line (-101).

Agreed, the line seems low with Chacin on the mound today. Rockies seem too easy money. Easy money usually ends up with a big fat "L". My question is how do books know Cubs have a higher probability to win this game and set the line so low to draw public to bet on Rockies & murder them after the game. I know books are not stupid enough to throw money away. No such thing is a free lunch for everyone.
I like your handicapping concept. It looks solid. go Cubs!Comment -
