One of many offshore operators available to Canadians, NEO.bet does little to distinguish itself from the wealth of options available. From the lack of sports offered, the absence of an online casino, and even no mobile app for betting this sportsbook lags well behind some of our other top-rated sportsbooks.

Sports Leagues to Bet On

NEO.bet has a solid offering of markets covered for Canadian customers. It is common to browse the list of available sports at NEO.bet and see leagues you did not even know existed. That experience of browsing the website for available sporting events for the first time will remind you that NEO.bet is an international sportsbook.

NFL Betting

There is no shortage of markets for NFL fans to bet on at NEO.bet. Each game will have over 120 markets to wager on, from traditional Moneyline, spread, and Over/Under to specific quarter betting and anytime touchdown scorer.

What was shocking when I looked through their NFL odds was the utter lack of futures available. As in, there was none at all. No super bowl, conference winners, even MVP futures were not offered. It’s a big strike against them as their very, very popular futures markets.

NBA Betting

Fans of the NBA will appreciate NEO.bet, as they offer ML, spread, and total plays for every game on the schedule. You can also wager on quarterly or halftime options and daily player props for points, rebounds, assists, and three-pointers made. If you like alternate spreads and totals, then NEO.bet is a great option. Player props, not so much as they have limited offerings compared to other sportsbooks.

College Football

NEO.Bet has college football aficionados covered, as they have ML, spread, and O/U plays for all Division I games. Not only that, they have quarter-by-quarter and first-half markets for game and team props. Be aware that you will be paying a few cents of vig on some markets, especially on the ML.

College Basketball

Bettors can be assured that you’ll be able to wager on all major college basketball games at NEO.bet — especially during March Madness. Its offers similar markets to college football in terms of ML, spread, and O/U for the full game, first half, and second half.

NHL Betting

Canadians love hockey, and NEO.bet knows that with its vast array of ways to bet on the NHL. Customers with a funded account will be able to bet on outright winners, totals, puck lines, goalscorers, and even exact scores. 

I noticed that it was tough to find traditional ML markets. The main page displayed regulation winners and draw no bet (a popular market for soccer) but I had to click into the matchups to find outright winners. The odds offered are definitely below the like of Pinnacle, as you’ll be paying at least 10+ cents of vig for most markets.

MLB Betting

Take a swing at betting on MLB at NEO.bet. The sportsbook offers comprehensive MLB markets for pre-game bets (ML, runline, total) and in-game action (five innings ML/RL, player props, team props). 

Other Sports Leagues

For a lesser-known sportsbook, NEO.bet offers a wide array of different sports and leagues of popular sports to bet on. You’ll be able to wager on all five major European soccer leagues, plus MLS, FIFA e-sports, and other leagues from South America. Tennis, UFC, NASCAR, golf, and cricket are also covered.

Unfortunately, there are also a number of sports that are not available compared to some of our other top-rated sportsbooks. The lack of horse racing is noticeable because globally it is one of the most popular sports to bet on. For a global sports betting provider, NEO.bet has dropped the ball there.

Online Betting Experience

Website Experience

The desktop website for NEO.bet has some room for improvement. First of all, the uninspiring colour scheme of white, grey, and blue text is not very appealing. The layout is a bit different than most sportsbooks as the available sports are listed across the top of the page rather than on the left-hand side and your bet slip only appears on the right when you make your selection.  It can be difficult to find markets you’re interested in betting on — we mentioned the ML problem in the NHL above, but I had similar issues trying to find team totals in the NFL.

Overall the website experience is below average and one that bettors will have to take time to navigate if they want to use NEO.bet

Mobile Betting and Betting App

NEO.bet advertises a mobile app for iOS on its website but unfortunately, it is not available in Canada at the moment. That’s very disappointing given the popularity of mobile betting for many Canadians.

Live Betting

The live betting options at NEO.bet are quite plentiful. Ongoing matches are displayed in the middle of the page, and each event has relevant stats on the right. For example, live soccer matches have “attacks” and “dangerous attacks” info available, and for tennis they have double fault and break point conversions information. What use the stat has is up to the bettor, but it’s more info than most other sportsbooks provide for their live betting platform.

Casino, Poker, & Other Gaming Options

NEO.bet has 528 games on their website including from Pragmatic Play to Silver Bullet. Live table games will be live in April 2024.

NEO.bet launched in 2018 as one of the first-ever major sportsbook properties to come out of Germany – and it quickly established itself as a go-to sports betting property there before branching out to other countries.

The Greenvest Betting Ltd. property, known for its slogan “from professionals, for professionals,” made its way into Canada shortly after its successful launch and was popular among grey market players.

The reputation of NEO.bet is mixed. Bettors enjoy the numerous betting markets both pre-game and live for popular sports, and the emphasis they clearly put on their sportsbook compared to other operators.

Common complaints include delayed or even sometimes no payouts, the lack of a mobile app in Canada, and the vig you’ll have to pay in some markets.

There is frankly little reason for someone to open an account at NEO.bet. There is no mobile app, no casino option, and the lack of horse racing options stands out. The odds offered on popular sports such as the NFL or NBA do not justify looking over that.
