10bet might not be a well-known name in the Canadian sports betting and iGaming industry, but it might be time for that to change.

College Basketball

Players will quickly learn that 10bet treats its U.S. college basketball odds similarly to those for NCAA football. Standard markets are saddled with higher vig than what you'll find at more popular Canadian sportsbooks like Sports Interaction, likely the product of 10bet being based overseas. It's no big deal if you don't care about quality of odds – but you really should.

NHL Betting

This is more like it. Whether or not you believe this is a tactic to encourage Canadians to make 10bet their home for NHL betting, the sportsbook lowers the juice to just 20 cents on the majority of totals and other two-way markets. And 10bet does load up on betting markets for each NHL matchup, with many of the most popular player props among them.

MLB Betting

MLB betting enthusiasts will be pleased by 10bet's overall baseball offering. As with most of the other major North American sports, bettors are getting hundreds of available wagering markets across every matchup. And while I would like to see some of the live odds be a little kinder to the customer, these aren't egregious. Overall, 10bet's baseball product is strong.

Where do we start? With soccer, of course: 10bet has one of the most comprehensive lists of soccer markets in the Canadian sports betting scene, one which includes matchups from more than 70 countries around the globe. And those who favour betting on the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga or other major European leagues will find an absolute bounty of betting markets.

Other sports 10bet features in its menu include tennis, basketball (international), CFL, baseball (international), hockey (international), handball, Rugby League, golf, snooker, motorsports, darts, cycling, volleyball, boxing, table tennis, winter sports, water polo, Rugby Union, Aussie Rules, MMA, cricket, horse racing, esports, greyhounds and Gaelic sports.

10bet won't wow you with fancy graphics or color schemes, but both the app and desktop are easy to use and set bettors up well to dive right in and make their wagers.

That said, 10bet isn't performing that well when it comes to App Store and Google Play ratings. The app has earned a 3.1 rating from Apple users (albeit in a limited number reviews), while its Google Play score is even lower at 2.6. 

The most notable issues for customers include login difficulties, getting frequently signed out automatically and generally slow app performance. Prospective users should take these into consideration (and perhaps give the app a test run before committing to a deposit.)

10bet History

10bet burst onto the sports betting scene in 2003 and quickly became one of the most popular sportsbooks in Europe. It embarked upon an ambitious expansion drive, and it is now operational in more than 90 markets across the globe.

The sportsbook at 10bet is powered by SBTech, which merged with DraftKings in 2020. Several popular European brands also use this provider to power their sportsbooks. However, 10bet is the most prominent brand that uses SBTech in the Canadian market.

I can't stress enough how important it is for Canadian sports bettors to try as many sportsbooks as possible – and 10bet is worth your time for a couple of reasons.

For certain sports, 10bet's quality of odds is in the top 10 percent nation-wide; even if you only visit the site to bet those sports, you're going to to come out further ahead in the long run. I'm also a fan of the interface on both desktop and mobile, with little clutter and an easy path to making bets instantly.

And yet, there are red flags here that players can't ignore. Technical issues matter, and so does higher vig on certain sports. There's also the propensity for 10bet to impose strict bet limits on winning players, which won't fly in an increasingly competitive market.
