My Venezuela vs. Canada prediction looks at how the 2026 World Cup co-host will have to deal with unique obstacles during Tuesday’s international friendly at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Canada is the +120 betting favorite to win despite failing to beat Venezuela in three previous meetings, which all ended in draws. The final international match of the year for both teams begins at 8:30 p.m. ET (TSN, OneSoccer).

⚽ Venezuela vs. Canada preview & score prediction
Neither team boasts an elite defense, so expect both teams to score in Tuesday's contest.
Venezuela is the designated host, but the South American nation is without the comforts of home, as Tuesday’s game will be played in a neutral stadium in Florida.
But that won’t make things easier for the Canadians, who can expect a hostile environment at Chase Stadium with a healthy amount of Venezuelan fans cheering on their team.
Defensive cracks will lead to goals
Although Canada has gone three games without a goal, I’m expecting the Canucks to find the back of the net at least once against a Venezuelan defense that's conceded 12 goals in the last five games in all competitions.
But, despite keeping a clean sheet against World Cup-bound Ecuador, Canada could wobble at the back against Venezuela if they’re not organized defensively to withstand pressure from an experienced opponent that’s fresh off beating Australia 1-0.
A $10 bet on both teams scoring at +110 odds yields a profit of $11 at bet365.
Score prediction: Venezuela 1, Canada 1
🆚 Venezuela vs. Canada matchup to watch
Jonathan David vs. Venezuela’s defense
There should be plenty of opportunities for Canada to score, which is why I’m picking striker Jonathan David to end his country’s goal drought.
David has endured a frustrating start to his Juventus career, scoring just once in 14 games in all competitions since joining the Italian club from Lille.
He’s also struggled to score for Canada of late, but I like his chances of breaking out of his slump and recording his first international goal since September.
The versatile forward should have few issues in exploiting Venezuela’s defensive frailties with his movement around the box and clinical finishing to record a goal on Tuesday.
