Uruguay vs. Colombia score prediction

Uruguay 1 vs. Colombia 1

There is little separating these two teams. Four of their last five competitive matches against one another have ended in a draw, including their last three in a row.

Colombia beat Uruguay on penalties after their 0-0 draw in the quarterfinals of the previous Copa America in 2021. Uruguay has conceded just one goal at this tournament. This is the fewest goals allowed by La Celeste in their first four matches of the competition since 1959. Colombia has also been solid in defense, shipping just two goals in five games at this Copa America. One of those goals was the opener by Raphinha for Brazil in their final Group D match.

Colombia’s 11 goals so far equal the most they have scored in a single edition of the competition. La Tricolor are this tournament’s top scorers with Uruguay second (9). Colombia has won five of their last six, Uruguay has 4 victories in six. It might take a penalty shootout to decide who advances. A $10 winning bet on these odds pays a $50 profit.

Uruguay vs. Colombia anytime goal scorer prediction

Jhon Cordoba, Colombia

Uruguay has key defenders missing for this game. Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo was forced off injured in the first half of their quarterfinal with Brazil.

It looks like the center-back could be out for a while with a muscle issue. Right-back Nahitan Nandez, who has been impressive for Urugay this tournament, will also be unavailable because of his late red card in the previous round.

The pace of Colombia’s front three on offense will be a challenge for La Celeste’s makeshift defense. Cordoba is the target at the center of Colombia’s attacking trio and has two goals in the competition. His offensive partner, James Rodríguez, has provided five assists at this tournament, no player has had six in a Copa America since 2011. La Tricolor’s attack is potent, and Cordoba could exploit Uruguay’s new-look backline.

Uruguay vs. Colombia best bet

Both teams to score

This is a blockbuster between the tournament’s two top scorers. Both defenses have been good, but Uruguay’s rejigged defense is a concern, especially against Colombia’s talented offense.

Twelve headed goals have been scored at this Copa America, and more than half of them have come from these two teams; Uruguay has three and Colombia four. La Tricolor’s James Rodriguez (14) and La Celeste’s Nicolas de la Cruz (13) are the two players who have created the most chances for their teammates at the tournament.

Each side is displaying a potency on offense, and they could cancel each other out with the stakes so high.
