I'm monitoring the best Cristiano Ronaldo props and odds for Portugal's clash with Spain, and it's hard to be overly excited about Portugal's star player in this match. Spain has yet to concede a goal, and Ronaldo enters coming off a two-shot performance against Croatia. Is there anything CR7 can do to make his presence felt today?

‼️ THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTE ON THIS GAME

Spain's defense is as good as advertised. Not only has Spain held every opponent scoreless thus far, but the Spanish are also allowing an average of 0.21 expected goals per game.

That said, it's not time to completely count Ronaldo out, as he had success against Spain in a competitive match, as recent as last year.

πŸ’° Best Cristiano Ronaldo prop prediction

Cristiano Ronaldo to have 2 or more shots in the 1st half (+105) vs. Spain

Ronaldo had only two shots against Croatia, but he still had 13 shots in his first three World Cup matches. Against a team like Spain that is averaging 68% possession at this World Cup, Portugal will need to make every moment with the ball matter.

Ronaldo's price to attempt two shots in the game is set at -600 or higher at all of the best sports betting sites. While that's absurd, I'm willing to back him in the first half at +105, as I believe he and Portugal will look to get Spain on its heels early.

💵 SBR Edge: Touches are key for Ronaldo

Ronaldo finished with just 25 touches against Croatia, which resulted in him taking only two shots. However, in two of his three other matches, he managed at least 34 touches. In those two games, he combined for 10 shots.

πŸ”₯ More Cristiano Ronaldo props for Monday

Cristiano Ronaldo 2+ shots on target (+180) vs. Spain

Since I worry for Ronaldo in this match, I'm looking for value over everything. Seeing a price of +180 for this prop definitely catches my eye, especially since Ronaldo is the main penalty taker for Portugal, as was on display in the last game.

What's incredible is that Spain has only allowed three shots on target throughout this entire World Cup. That's why this is just a 0.5-unit play. But Ronaldo has seven shots on target at the tournament, and I'm willing to take a small chance on him since he has so much experience playing against Spain in his career.

Cristiano Ronaldo to score a goal (+180)

Scoring against Spain is very difficult, as proven by every team to face them at this World Cup. But last June, Ronaldo scored in a 2-2 draw against the Spanish, as he helped lead Portugal to the UEFA Nations League title.

Ronaldo has scored in two of his four World Cup matches, and against Congo, he finished with 0.46 expected goals. Spain's defense is great, but the unit also hasn't played against an offense as talented as Portugal's.
