The USA is off to the start most envisioned, outscoring Czechia and Finland 10-1. They now face a Switzerland team that beat Czechia 4-3 in a shootout after coming back from a one-goal deficit in the third period and lost to Canada 4-0.

Switzerland closely resembles the Czechia team they defeated in their opener. The Americans are a high-octane unit that will dominate throughout. Swiss goaltender Saskia Maurer stood on her head against Canada, maintaining a goose egg through almost half of the game. 

I expect Team USA to get to her earlier, which will open the floodgates.

Knight is playing in her fifth Olympics, and the 36-year-old scored her 14th goal against Finland, tying Team USA's all-time mark set by Natalie Darwitz and Katie King.

Knight will almost assuredly become the country's all-time leading scorer at the Olympics, a feat she might accomplish against Switzerland on Monday. Saturday night was no different for the 36-year-old appearing in her U.S. women’s hockey-best fifth Olympics.

Switzerland is the fifth-ranked nation in women's hockey, and they won a bronze medal at Sochi 2014 while finishing among the top five in four of its five Olympic appearances. 

However, Switzerland has just one forward who plays in the PWHL, the Boston Fleet’s Alina Muller. Nicole Vallario, the 24-year-old who is in her first season in the PWHL as a reserve member of the New York Sirens, is the only other PWHL player on the team.
