Gabriel Vilardi anytime goal (+220) ⭐⭐⭐
Vilardi netted five times in the last six games, including two against Washington on Dec. 13. He's facing a St. Louis Blues team that he scored two against in their previous meeting.
The Blues have been tragic defensively, even more so than usual, allowing at least five goals in three of the previous four games. I'll take a shot with Vilardi at +200 odds.
Shayne Gostisbehere Over 0.5 assists (-110) ⭐⭐⭐
The odds are shorter, but it's still a 4-star pick due to the increased probability (52.38%). Gostisbehere has nine helpers in the last 10 encounters, and his Carolina Hurricanes are facing the third-worst defense in the league. The Hurricanes scored six against the Nashville Predators on Dec. 6, albeit on home ice.
The Predators have been better recently, but the Hurricanes offer a sterner challenge than the Blues, whom Nashville had its way with twice recently.
