NHL Player Props, Best Bets Today | World's Best Featured on New Year's Eve

Our New Year's Eve special edition of the NHL player props today features four of the world's best offensive talents, including the Tampa Bay Lightning's Nikita Kucherov.

He's spotlighted as the primary play in my NHL best bets, but Connor McDavid, Jack Eichel, and Mikko Rantanen don't take well to playing second fiddle. I'm backing all of them to have explosive offensive outings to culminate 2025.

Nikita Kucherov Over 1.5 points (+130) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kucherov is quietly ascending the leaderboard after a slow start to the season. His recent patch has been anything but, with the diminutive megastar notching at least two points in seven of the previous 10 games, including three straight. 

He's facing an Anaheim Ducks team that has lost five of the previous six, allowing at least four goals in four of those defeats. Of the best sports betting sites, bet365 provides the best price.

Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

McDavid scored two points in three of the previous five meetings against the Boston Bruins, including the last time he played them when he scored and assisted. He gets to face them at home tonight, an ominous prospect considering the Bruins have lost six in a row, conceding at least four on four occasions. 

The Oilers captain has multi-point outings in nine of the previous 13. 

Jack Eichel Over 1.5 points (+165) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Eichel is on a festive tear, entering tonight's game on the back of four straight two-point performances. He also scored two points in his last game against the Nashville Predators. 

The Golden Knights' superstar has underwhelmed on home ice, at least comparatively, where he has a measly 6.3 shooting percentage. I expect him to start getting some puck luck at T-Mobile Arena. Why not start on New Year's Eve? 

Mikko Rantanen Over 1.5 points (+130) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Like the other featured offensive dynamos, Rantanen has made notching two points look easy recently. He has five in the previous six contests and three of the last four against the Buffalo Sabres. Yes, the Sabres have won nine in a row, but this game in Big D will provide an excellent litmus test for the surging visitors.
