Sunday features a robust 10-game slate in the NHL with a plethora of marquee matchups. We're focusing on three games to capitalize on for our NHL parlay picks.
We’ll look for a Canadian team to continue its hot streak, a West Coast powerhouse to bounce back from an ugly loss, and the reigning Stanley Cup champions to get back on track after some inconsistent play of late.
Here are my top parlay picks for Sunday’s NHL matchups (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5 star scale).

NHL Parlay Predictions
Flames (+150)
Calgary is the hottest team in the league. It's 7-2-1 in its last 10 games and sits comfortably in first place in the Pacific Division.
The Colorado Avalanche lead the NHL in points and are the Stanley Cup favorites across all sportsbooks, but they've uncharacteristically lost four of their last five games. To make matters worse, they recently lost captain Gabriel Landeskog to knee surgery, so they'll be shorthanded for the foreseeable future.
These teams met just over a week ago, with Calgary prevailing 4-3 in overtime. Flames backup goaltender Dan Vladar made 33 saves on 36 shot attempts in that one. He's expected to start Sunday, as Jacob Markstrom played Saturday night.
The Flames held a slight advantage in possession, while both teams were nearly deadlocked in expected goals for and against in the last meeting, according to Natural Stat Trick. The Avalanche created a few more high danger chances, but overtime was otherwise justified.
Calgary has been the better team the past month, and with injuries to Landeskog and Samuel Girard, the Flames should be able to take home the win once again for the first leg of our NHL parlay picks.

Kings (+160)
Los Angeles lost 5-0 to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday and now takes on the exceptional Florida Panther on Sunday. The Kings have been a pleasant surprise this season, sitting second in the Pacific Division with 72 points, ahead of the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights.
The Kings will have Jonathan Quick in goal, who's been solid this season with a 2.72 goals-against average and minus-1.1 goals-saved-above-average.
The Panthers are a juggernaut, leading the NHL in goals with 241. They grade better in all categories compared to the Kings, but it's not by a significant margin. Florida is solid on the road with a 14-7-5 record, but that's in stark contrast to its 26-6-0 record at home.
L.A. hasn't received the attention it deserves, and the gap between these two teams is less than an average fan would assume.
The Kings will put forth a much better effort after an embarrassing loss to the lowly Sharks, and they'll take advantage of a Panthers team that's relatively average on the road.

Lightning first period -0.5 (+155)
Tampa Bay finds itself in an uncharacteristic slump. It's lost four of its last six games, defeating two rebuilding teams in the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings.
The Lightning take on a resurgent Vancouver Canucks squad that finds itself back in the playoff hunt after a rough start to the season. The Canucks are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games, receiving fantastic goaltending from Thatcher Demko and otherworldly play from J.T. Miller.
These teams are nearly identical in possession, goals per 60 minutes, and expected goals against during the past month. After sitting last night, Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy is back in net. He owns a 2.43 GAA and 11.5 GSAA on the year.
The Canucks haven't held the lead in the first period in their past five games, and the Lightning will come out strong after getting embarrassed by the Edmonton Oilers last night.
Combined Odds: Calgary Flames (+150) + Kings (+160) + Lightning first period -0.5 (+155) = +1557
