The Montreal Canadiens are one win away from posting a first-round upset over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tonight's Game 6 tilt will begin at 7 p.m. ET from the Bell Centre in Montreal (ESPN2).

We're getting a solid price on the Lightning's moneyline at -114 odds. The total is set to 5.5, going under this number in four straight games.

My Lightning vs. Canadiens prediction features a moneyline pick and a total. Plus, a correct score prediction at +1700 odds and a plus-odds player prop.

🏆 Who will win Lightning vs. Canadiens?

The Lightning came up short at home in Game 5. We've seen Tampa Bay post a win in regulation during their last matchup at the Bell Centre, so the raucous crowd shouldn't daunt them.

Now, public bets have flipped sides to the home favorite Canadiens, who hold a 3-2 lead in this series. In Game 5, the Lightning were -170 moneyline favorites. Now, we're getting them at a solid price of -114.

Andrei Vasilevskiy is due for a monster performance in the net for Tampa Bay. Let's back the more desperate team with veteran talent.

Score prediction: Lightning 2, Canadiens 1

💰 Lightning vs. Canadiens prediction & best bet

Lightning ML (-114)

The Lightning have to rise to the occasion tonight to avoid elimination by Montreal. Tampa Bay is just 2-5 SU in its last seven matchups against the Canadiens, however, the Lightning have yet to drop consecutive games in this series

Yes, the Canadiens have won seven of their last eight games as a home underdog. While trends imply a Montreal win, it's safe to expect the unexpected in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Head to FanDuel to bet the Lightning moneyline at -114 odds ahead of Game 6 tonight.

🔥 Best Lightning vs. Canadiens player prop bet

Brayden Point Under 0.5 points (+110)

The Lightning are going to find a way to salvage a win tonight to force Game 7 back in Tampa. However, it's unlikely to come from Brayden Point.

Point's been a staple of the Lightning core for years. He earns between 18 and 20 minutes of ATOI, skating on the first attack line and primary power-play unit. Yet, despite his opportunities, Point has managed just one point in this series against the Canadiens

Hagel, Guentzel, and Kucherov have been the production for Tampa Bay in the first round, each logging 6+ points. Point netted a power-play goal, meaning he's been held to zero points in five-on-five play

Jakub Dobes has proven to be a stout goaltender for Montreal against the Lightning's high-octane offense. That's why we're betting on Point to go under 0.5 points at +110 odds on DraftKings.

🚀 Lightning vs. Canadiens same-game parlay

Under 5.5 has hit in four straight games. Tampa Bay has not lost consecutive games in this playoff series, which is why it factors into my same-game parlay tonight.

I'm going to FanDuel to place one more unit on a two-leg Lightning vs. Canadiens same-game parlay at +262 odds.

💡 How I'm betting Lightning vs. Canadiens

Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.

I'm spreading 4.25 units around on tonight's pivotal Game 6 matchup between the Lightning and the Canadiens. We're close to a pick'em on the moneyline, with Montreal logging two road wins in this series to hold a 3-2 lead.

We've yet to see Vasilevskiy bring his best effort against the Canadiens. In an elimination game, I'm expecting another tight, low-scoring contest, with the Lightning edging Montreal in a 2-1 win.

That's why I'm betting under 5.5 and the Lightning moneyline. I've also opted to fade Point in the player prop market, as Tampa Bay's top center has been held in check for most of this series.

📊 Live Lightning vs. Canadiens odds: Game 6

There's been little movement in the moneyline or total market since Game 6 lines opened a couple of days ago. However, it's interesting to note that the Canadiens are getting 59% of moneyline bets and a whopping 80% of puck line wagers at +1.5.

Under 5.5 is still in the minority of public bets at 40%. The public likes Montreal and over 5.5, which is why I've opted to go the contrarian route with the Lightning at a quality price and under 5.5 total goals.
