I'm backing Frederik Andersen to enjoy a standout performance in my Czechia vs. Denmark prediction and best bets for today's Olympic playoff qualifier (10:40 a.m. ET, Peacock).

Czechia is the -420 moneyline betting favorite, but I don't believe the gulf between the teams is not so vast, particularly if Denmark's No. 1 can come up with the goods in this do-or-die tilt. Czechia's offense emits one-dimensional vibes, and Denmark has a few players who can make something happen. I expect Czechia to advance, but in a tight contest, thanks in part to a David Pastrnak goal.

Player prop David Pastrnak anytime goal -103 via BetMGM ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1u

💰 Czechia vs. Denmark best bet: Denmark +2 (-115)

The key variable to cashing this bet resides between the pipes. Andersen came up big against Latvia in the final preliminary round game, saving 33 of 35 shots. He should be at his best again for this encounter.

That, coupled with Czechia's lack of ruthlessness in front of the goal, has me convinced that Denmark will keep this close. Czechia didn't gain separation from France until the third period and was unable to dictate proceedings against Switzerland in the 4-3 overtime defeat.

Denmark, meanwhile, has played better as the tournament wears on.

Score prediction: Czechia 3, Denmark 2

🔥 Best Czechia vs. Denmark prop bet: David Pastrnak anytime goal (-103)

It's only a matter of time before Pastrnak scores a big goal for Czechia. He does it seemingly nightly for the Boston Bruins. Pastrnak's only goal of the tournament thus far came against France in a game where the result was never truly in doubt. He came close against Switzerland, though, with his goal-bound effort saved by Roman Josi's flung stick.

He's had recent success against Andersen, scoring a hat trick against the Carolina Hurricanes last season. I'm sure neither player has forgotten that outing, Andersen begrudgingly so.

I'd play this bet to -110, and it's my favorite player prop based on the value.
