🏒 Canadiens vs. Senators Prediction & Odds: NHL Picks Today (March 11)
Last Updated: March 11, 2026 7:00 AM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
Heated Canadian rivals take center stage in the nation's capital tonight, when the Ottawa Senators welcome the Montreal Canadiens to Canadian Tire Centre (7:30 p.m. ET, Sportsnet).
I'm backing the Canadiens, the +132 betting underdog, to snatch a road victory in my Canadiens vs. Senators prediction in a game that has at least seven goals. And I believe one of those goals will go to Cole Caufield, who is doing his utmost to try and stay within reach of goal-scoring leader Nathan MacKinnon.

💰 Canadiens vs. Senators prediction & best bet
Over 6.5 (-108)
Five of the previous six Canadiens games had at least seven goals, and three of the last five Senators' contests hit the Over. While I don't often buy into historical trends, their head-to-head record to the Over is a different story.
Their last six meetings had at least seven goals, with 11 in January's contest. The Canadiens score the third-most goals per game (3.54) and have netted at least four in four of the last five.
DraftKings offers the best price of the best sports betting sites (-108), and I'd play the bet to -115.
Score prediction: Canadiens 4, Senators 3 (+1700 via FanDuel, 0.1u)
🔥 Best Canadiens vs. Senators player prop bet
Cole Caufield anytime goal (+180)
Caufield has five goals in the previous six games. Despite that sound return, he hasn't been at his formidable best in the last couple of games, struggling to create chances against the Los Angeles Kings and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was, however, feeling a bit under the weather against Toronto.
Caufield - among the Rocket Richard Trophy odds front-runners - almost always rises to the occasion when he faces the Senators, having scored three in the last three meetings and nine in the previous 10.
I'm banking on Caufield's best version standing out in the nation's capital.

💡 How I'm betting Canadiens vs. Senators
Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.
Oftentimes, teams returning from a long cross-continent road trip struggle to find their legs in the first game back on home ice. That's what I'm counting on with the Sens after they played four games on the West Coast.
Montreal's high-powered offense, combined with the teams' propensity for high-scoring meetings, is enough for me to devote a full unit to the Over.
With any goal-scorer prediction, the probability of success is usually lower, which is why I often invest a half unit ($5).
