The Oilers host the Blues as one of just two NHL games on Wednesday, so read on for our best Blues vs. Oilers NHL player props based on the best NHL odds.

Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid has been on fire over the last few months to help carry his team back into a comfortable playoff position and nearly to the top of the latest Stanley Cup odds. They'll get another chance to padd the resume against the struggling St. Louis Blues.

The Oilers have been cruising as of late behind McDavid, who sits third in the Hart Trophy odds and looks primed for another big night on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Blues have dropped out of a playoff position after losing four of their last five games.

Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points (-125 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

McDavid and the Oilers endured a slow start to the season, leading to Jay Woodcroft losing his job after a 3-9-1 start. Both McDavid and his team have turned a corner since then.

McDavid has been especially hot for the past month or so. He's logged 31 points in his last 13 games, including a current five-game multi-point streak. He’s gone Over 1.5 points in five straight, and in 10 of his last 13. That includes a three-point night against these Blues on Feb. 15.

Meanwhile, the Blues have allowed 10 goals in their last two games to start the team's current road trip. St. Louis allowed nine goals over a two-game span last week as well before shutting out the Islanders. Expect McDavid and the Oilers to pour it on at home on Wednesday.

Robert Thomas to record an assist (+125 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐

Robert Thomas has been one of the few constants for the St. Louis Blues. Or maybe the only constant. He leads the team in points (66) and assists (47).

Thomas has logged nine points (eight assists) over his last six games, with at least one assist in five of those contests. He registered a goal and two assists in the last meeting against the Oilers.

Furthermore, Thomas has tallied an assist in seven of nine games since the All-Star break and 12 of 15 games since Jan. 20. Take him at plus odds to get another one Wednesday.

Zach Hyman to score a goal (+125 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐

One of the reasons McDavid hasn’t scored many goals in 2023-24 is the presence of Zach Hyman on his line doing that for him. Hyman leads the team with 38 goals over 55 games and is red-hot right now.

The winger has scored in five straight outings and 11 of his last 16 contests since Jan. 18. Hyman has notched a goal in over half of his games during 2023-24 (29 of 55).
