Avalanche vs. Kings Player Props Today: NHL Best Bets for Tuesday

I'm offering my best Avalanche vs. Kings player props for the season's first Western Conference battle while keeping in mind that Colorado is without its top goaltender tonight.
I look to take advantage of that with my NHL picks, which include a bet on one of the Kings' young star forwards.
The action gets underway from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles at 10:30 p.m. ET tonight (ESPN). It should be a tight matchup, with both teams receiving even -110 odds to win.
Our Gary Pearson also features Avalanche stars Cale Makar and Nathan MacKinnon in his best NHL player props today.

💰 Best player prop bets for Avalanche vs. Kings
Our NHL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.
⬆️ Quinton Byfield Over 0.5 points (-118) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
With Avalanche starting goalie Mackenzie Blackwood out tonight, my best bet needed to be on a Kings skater.
Quinton Byfield is getting the best odds (-118) among Los Angeles' big guns up front, and the 2020 second overall pick finished last season strong with 12 goals in his final 21 regular-season games before scoring three more in the playoffs.
Though his breakout already started last campaign, Byfield will be expected to contribute even more offensively going forward with No. 1 center Anze Kopitar set to retire at season's end.
I think Byfield will take the torch and run with it, starting with contributing to a score against Avs backup Scott Wedgewood tonight.
BetMGM is offering the best odds for Byfield going Over 0.5 points (-118), which carry an implied probability of 54.13%. A $10 bet on Byfield would net an $8.47 profit.
⬆️ Darcy Kuemper Over 24.5 saves (-120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper enjoyed a career-best season a year ago, and he'll be motivated while playing against his former team tonight.
Kuemper averaged 23.36 saves per game last season, but he should be even busier against a Colorado lineup that ranked fourth leaguewide with 29.89 shots per game last year.
Additionally, I expect Nathan MacKinnon and Co. to push the pace offensively given their own goaltending situation tonight.
Kuemper's -120 odds translate to an implied probability of 54.55%, with a $10 bet potentially bringing home $8.33 in winnings.
⬆️ Martin Necas Over 0.5 power-play points (+225) ⭐⭐⭐
I'm taking a flier on Martin Necas to score a point on the Colorado power play tonight.
He holds a spot on the Avs' top unit, which should be one of the league's best power plays this year. Necas also tallied 15 points across 30 games on the man advantage after Colorado acquired him from the Hurricanes last season.
Head to Caesars for the best odds on this player prop, where a $10 bet would win $22.50, with an implied probability of 30.77%.
