The NHL All-Star Weekend is here!

There will be three games in total. The Atlantic Division versus Metropolitan Division will be one of the first two games, along with the Central Division taking on the Pacific Division. The winners of those two games will then face off for all the marbles.

Here are my picks and predictions for Saturday’s NHL All-Star Game (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

NHL All-Star Game Predictions

Atlantic Division (-130), Under 13.5 (-115)

It can always be difficult to handicap an All-Star Game, but the Atlantic Division appears to have a much better roster than the Metropolitan Division. They have the likes of Auston Matthews, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Steven Stamkos, along with a few guys excited to be there in Brady Tkachuk, Nick Suzuki, and Rasmus Dahlin.

The Metropolitan Division roster has a mix of veterans and youngsters, but no one really jumps off the page since Alex Ovechkin has been ruled out. Claude Giroux will give it his all as captain, but I don’t have much faith in them.

I also like the Atlantic goalie tandem over the Metropolitan. Andrei Vasilevskiy is one of the best goalies in the league in 3-on-3 and Jack Campbell isn’t too shabby either.

I could see goaltending stealing the show in this matchup. The Atlantic tandem I mentioned above is pretty good, and Tristan Jarry and Frederik Andersen are having great seasons themselves.

Pacific Division (-105), Over 14 (-105)

The Pacific Division's roster is loaded. They also have a home-ice advantage of sorts with the game taking place in Las Vegas. Mark Stone, Jonathan Marchessault, and Alex Pietrangelo are representing the Golden Knights in Vegas. Oh yeah, they also have Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Johnny Gaudreau, and Timo Meier, among others. Thatcher Demko and John Gibson are also two strong goalies in the crease.

The Central Division also has a strong lineup, but they’re missing Nathan MacKinnon, who was replaced by Roman Josi to give them two defensemen. Nazem Kadri, Kyle Connor, Kirill Kaprizov, and Cale Makar are among the Central’s stars. They are the favorites, but my money is on the Pacific given the value and the more talented roster.

Pacific Division to win All-Star Game (+275)

There isn’t a huge disparity in the odds for any of the four teams, but I have to go with the home division here. They have a star-studded roster, and the goaltending makes them a good value play.
