Will an NFC or AFC team win Super Bowl 2026? Prediction markets have flip-flopped on that very question, with the AFC peaking at a 55% probability of winning the Big Game on Oct. 30.

That scenario has since turned on its head. The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams' recent dominance has driven a surge in the NFC's chances in the prediction markets, currently at 58%, the highest of the season. Which side of the NFC-AFC fence do you sit on?

Will NFC or AFC team win Super Bowl?

Confidence is riding high for the NFC entering Week 15, with several teams soaring. The Rams and Seahawks have won seven of the previous eight games, while the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers are on streaks of seven wins in nine games.

It's best not to sleep on the San Francisco 49ers, who are getting healthy at the right time. The 49ers have won three straight since Brock Purdy returned to the lineup. Our LJ Blut broke down his best NFL division winner predictions.

What happened to confidence in AFC teams?

The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots are the It teams in the AFC, both with 11-2 records. Both teams have reeled off 10 straight wins and are sitting pretty with the playoffs approaching.

However, confidence in those teams winning Super Bowl 2026 isn't as high, given they're led by inexperienced quarterbacks who are only one year removed from their rookie seasons.

That said, Drake Maye - one of the NFL MVP odds favorites - and Bo Nix are cut from a different cloth. Neither seems to be negatively impacted by high-pressure situations that would make others crumble.

The Buffalo Bills, meanwhile, have the reigning MVP winner leading the charge. While they've shown patches of inconsistency, they could provide the AFC its best chance of ultimate supremacy.

Jim Harbaugh's Los Angeles Chargers and the mighty Houston Texans defense might have something to say about that, though.

The AFC was the most likely conference team to win the Super Bowl almost unrelentingly from the start of the season to Nov. 4. That's when prediction markets started favoring the NFC, which now has a 58% chance of winning it all.

You can weigh in by saying yes or no to either conference's Super Bowl chances. So, which will it be? I'm on the NFC bandwagon as the NFC West is more stacked than a towering pile of IHOP pancakes.
