Thursday Night Football Prop Picks, Predictions Week 15: Can Purdy Silence the 12th Man in Seattle?

Get our best Thursday Night Football Week 15 picks and predictions!

There are plenty of enticing prop picks from which to choose when the San Francisco 49ers visit the Seattle Seahawks to kick off the NFL's Week 15. Here are our top Thursday Night Football prop picks for the 49ers-Seahawks matchup.

Early in the season, it seemed as if the Seattle Seahawks would run away with the NFC West. The Hawks snapped off a four-game winning streak and had won five of six games. That streak had them sitting on top of the division. Now, they enter Thursday night losers of three of their last four matchups and are two games back of first place in the West.

San Francisco is one of the hottest teams in the NFL at the moment. The 49ers have had to put both of their starting quarterbacks on the shelf this season. They have also seen several key defensive players exit the field for extended periods of time. Despite that, they have won six straight games and now lead their division. Last week, Brock Purdy won his first career start over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Thursday Night Football Prop Predictions

Seahawks team total points Under 19.5 (+105) ★★★★★

The argument for this prop begins and ends with the San Francisco defense. Over their six-game winning streak, no team has scored more than 17 points against the 49ers. Overall, they are giving away the fewest points per game in the league (15.2) this season. The last time these teams met in Week 2, the Seahawks put a lone touchdown on the scoreboard.

Seattle ranks sixth in the league scoring an average of 26.3 points per game this year. However, they have played two games this season versus top-5 defenses and failed to cross this point threshold in both. In total, they have four games in which they failed to score at least 20 points.

49ers to win both halves (+280) ★★★★★

Much of San Francisco’s recent success has come from its defense. The 49ers have surrendered just 64 points in total to their last six opponents. They are scoring an average of 14.2 points in the first half of games while surrendering 7.5. Their scoring does dip in the second half (10.5), but they stay strong defensively (7.5). Before last week, San Francisco had won both halves of the game in four straight outings.

The Seahawks have dropped three of their last four games. In all three of those games, Seattle went into the locker room trailing at the half. They average 13.9 points in the first half of their contest, but are allowing 14.2. It will be a tough task to reach their 12.4 point average in the second half against the San Francisco defense. However, the Seahawks defense is keeping teams around 11.1 points in the final half of their games. The 49ers will likely have to pitch another second half shutout to cash this prop.

Brandon Aiyuk 25+ receiving yards in each half (+280) ★★★★

The 49ers suffered a blow to their offense losing receiver Deebo Samuel during last week’s game. This will pave the way for Brandon Aiyuk to build on his 6.62 per game target share. He stands to absorb a fair share of the 7.6 targets Samuel leaves behind.

Aiyuk already averages 58.1 receiving yards per game, but will need to improve on his per half totals to hit this prop. He has caught 32 passes in the first half this season for 498 yards for an average of 15.6. In the second half, that total drops to a 9.9 average by way of his 257 yards on 26 receptions.

During their last meeting back in Week 2, Aiyuk cleared 25 yards in the first half on his first reception. Unfortunately, he came up just three yards short of that mark after halftime. He registered two catches on seven targets in the half, but also had three defensive penalties committed against him on deep passes.
