Who doesn't want to see history made on Super Bowl Sunday? I'm exploring the major single-game Super Bowl records and the betting odds for them to be broken in Super Bowl 2026 between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.

I'm also offering my pick for which all-time record is the most likely to have a new holder as part of our Super Bowl predictions for Seahawks vs. Patriots on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. ET (NBC) from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

📜 Will any Super Bowl records be broken? Odds & predictions

Super Bowl record props via FanDuel.

Super Bowl record Current record holder Odds to be broken (FanDuel) Breakability (out of five stars)
505 passing yards Tom Brady (2018) +15000
6 passing touchdowns Steve Young (1995) +20000
205 rushing yards Timmy Smith (1988) +10000 ⭐⭐
216 receiving yards Jerry Rice (1989) +3500 ⭐⭐⭐
14 receptions James White (2017) +5500 ⭐⭐⭐

As you might expect, the betting odds imply that any of these records being broken should be considered a long shot. The good news is that you don't have to wager on a specific player to break a record; it can be any player from either team, as you're betting only on the record being broken in Super Bowl 60.

Of the five featured records here, a quarterback throwing for seven touchdowns has the longest odds at +20000. That translates to an implied probability of just 0.5%, per our odds converter. A $10 bet at those odds would bring home a potential $2,000 profit.

On the other end, a player going Over 216 receiving yards carries +3500 odds that imply a 2.78% probability of hitting. A winning $10 bet on that prop would net a $350 profit.

🏆 Super Bowl record best bet: Any player Over 216 receiving yards

A player going Over 216 receiving yards to top Jerry Rice's record has the shortest odds of the pack, and there's a star wide receiver in this matchup who has the capability of accomplishing the task.

The Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba fully emerged as a superstar this season and is the favorite to win NFL Offensive Player of the Year at NFL Honors during Super Bowl week.

While he's never gone Over 200 receiving yards in a game in his career, Smith-Njigba topped 150 yards on three different occasions this season, including in the NFC Championship Game. No player in this game is better suited to break a record than the league's receiving yardage king.

I'm not scared off by the Patriots' ninth-ranked pass defense, either, as New England had the easiest strength of schedule in 2025. Meanwhile, the Super Bowl weather forecast shows clear conditions, ideal for the Seahawks' passing attack to take flight.

Our C Jackson Cowart is also backing Smith-Njigba to score a touchdown and win Super Bowl MVP as part of his 10 best Super Bowl bets to make right now.

Best bet: Any player to go Over 216 receiving yards (+3500 via FanDuel)

🔥 Can JSN break both Super Bowl receiving records?

If you think Smith-Njigba is in line for an all-time performance in Super Bowl 60, a 2-leg parlay at FanDuel on him to break the receiving yards and receptions records carries mammoth +201500 odds. A $10 bet would win $20,150!
