Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford leads the Super Bowl MVP odds at +400 entering the Divisional Round after his clutch performance to open the NFL Playoffs.

Trailing Stafford are Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (+475), Bills QB Josh Allen (+700), and Patriots QB Drake Maye (+700). Super Bowl 60 will be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 8.

📊 Super Bowl MVP odds 2026

2026 Super Bowl MVP odds via our best Super Bowl betting sites.

The five players with the shortest odds are all quarterbacks, and the eight remaining starting QBs are all in the top 10. Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is the highest non-QB on the board at +1500.

Quarterbacks have won seven of the previous 10 Super Bowl MVP awards. We'll update this page week-by-week throughout the NFL Playoffs as odds move and players are eliminated.

💡 How I bet the Super Bowl MVP odds

It's difficult to pick who the best player will be in a game a month from now without knowing the matchup or even if that player will make it to the Super Bowl.

It's the smart play to bet on the quarterback of the team you think will win the Big Game, because more often than not, the winning team's QB will take home the award. That informed my prediction below.

Matthew Stafford Super Bowl MVP odds

Matthew Stafford is the Super Bowl MVP odds favorite at +400 entering the Divisional Round.

The 37-year-old didn't have his most efficient game in the wild-card win over the Panthers, but he threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns. That included the game-winner to tight end Colby Parkinson with less than a minute remaining to avoid the upset.

The Rams stay on the road this week to take on the 2-seed Chicago Bears. Stafford is 6-2 in his last eight playoff games but has a losing record in his career in Chicago.

As long as Los Angeles is alive in the playoffs, Stafford will continue to be the Super Bowl MVP odds favorite.

Josh Allen Super Bowl MVP odds

Josh Allen is tied with Drake Maye for the shortest odds among AFC players at +700.

Allen looked every bit the reigning NFL MVP in last weekend's road win over the Jaguars in the Wild Card Round. He completed 80% of his passes, totaled over 300 yards from scrimmage, and scored three touchdowns.

Buffalo needed his brilliance to advance, as Pro Bowl running back James Cook had one of his worst games of the season. It will be another difficult matchup for Allen, Cook, and the Bills in Denver this weekend against the Broncos' elite defense.

Allen is the most experienced quarterback remaining in the AFC, however, and it's easy to make the argument that he's also the best.

🛑 What happens to a Super Bowl MVP bet if players are eliminated?

All bets in this market are action, which means if a player you choose to win Super Bowl MVP doesn't actually make it to the Big Game, your bets won't be void - they'll be treated as a losing wager.

Drake Maye Super Bowl MVP odds

Drake Maye is tied with Josh Allen at +700 odds after dispatching of the Chargers at home last weekend.

The sophomore quarterback was far from at his best against Los Angeles. He completed less than 60% of his passes, took five sacks, and turned the ball over twice.

Now he faces a Texans defense that's coming off a dominant performance in Pittsburgh. Houston sacked Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers four times and scored two defensive touchdowns.

But these aren't odds for NFL Playoff MVP. It's just for the Super Bowl, and the Patriots have a complete team to survive another difficult defensive test for Maye.

👀 Super Bowl MVP prediction & best bet

Josh Allen (+700)

It's hasn't always been pretty for the Buffalo Bills this season, but this feels like Josh Allen's year given the playoff field around him.

Though the Bills continue their postseason journey on the road, Allen will be the best player at the sport's most important position in every game he features in.

Is there anyone you would rather have with the ball in his hands late in a tight game? In the playoffs, that's often what it comes down to. I'm backing Allen to win Super Bowl MVP now before his odds shorten.

Best bet: Josh Allen to win Super Bowl MVP (+700 via BetMGM)

🗒️ Super Bowl MVP betting strategy

Betting on Super Bowl MVP is also a bet on which team you think will win the Super Bowl, as only one player in NFL history has won the award while losing the Big Game (Chuck Howley in Super Bowl V). And history shows that it is almost always the quarterback of the winning team who receives the honor (34 out of 59 Super Bowl MVPs have been quarterbacks).

Most teams and players will be eliminated before reaching the Super Bowl, resulting in a losing bet. On the flip side, every player remaining at the end of each playoff round will likely have shorter odds than they did previously. If you feel confident in your Super Bowl MVP pick, you're better off placing a wager sooner rather than later, as you're unlikely to get better odds later on.
