My Steelers vs. Browns player props highlight both starting quarterbacks — a future Hall of Fame quarterback and a rookie making his sixth NFL start. Also included among my NFL Week 17 predictions is a touchdown pick on a backup running back.
Kickoff for this AFC North showdown from Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland is set for 1 p.m. ET (CBS), and the Steelers are a consensus 3-point betting favorite.

Aaron Rodgers Under 30.5 pass attempts (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has eclipsed 30 pass attempts in six of his last nine games. Here’s why you should fade that trend Sunday: Rodgers won’t have suspended wideout DK Metcalf (59 receptions); he’ll be playing in nasty weather (rain and wind); and he’ll be facing Browns sack master Myles Garrett and the NFL’s No. 1-ranked pass defense.
Given this, there’s no reason for Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin to put his 42-year-old QB at unnecessary risk.

Shedeur Sanders Over 12.5 rushing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐
Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders certainly hasn’t been a slave to the pocket this month. Proof: The rookie has racked up 29, 24 and 49 rushing yards in his last three games. And he compiled those 102 yards on just nine rushes.
Sanders also had 16 rushing yards when he made his NFL debut off the bench against Baltimore in Week 11. So look for Sanders to take advantage of slick field conditions and clear 13 rushing yards for the fifth time in seven games.
Kenneth Gainwell Score anytime touchdown (+220) ⭐⭐
Kenneth Gainwell’s usage has ramped up big time in the last six weeks, with the Steelers’ backup running back getting 83 touches (33 receptions, 50 rushes). Not surprisingly, Gainwell scored all four touchdowns during this stretch. That’s just one fewer TD than starter Jaylen Warren has recorded.
So I’m betting on Gainwell to hit pay dirt for the second straight week, third time in the last four and eighth time in 2005.
