Barkley has rushed for more than 70 yards just twice all season. He’s averaging just 3.9 yards per carry, and he’s totaled 50 rushing yards or fewer in four of his nine games.

The Lions are allowing just 94.3 rushing yards per game, which ranks eighth-best in the NFL. They’re also only allowing 4.0 yards per carry, which ranks 10th. Even in a good matchup, I wouldn’t trust Barkley. But against one of the best rush defenses in football, there’s no reason to have much faith in him on the ground.

Tonight, Barkley’s receptions total is set at 2.5, with the Over heavily favored (-131). Based on what he’s done this season, if Barkley catches at least three passes, he has an 83% chance of hitting this Over.

The Lions have allowed four running backs to record 20 receiving yards this season. Only one of those backs, Chase Brown, has more receiving yards on the season than Barkley. DraftKings’ price of -117 implies a 53.92% chance this Over hits. A $10 bet would profit $8.55.
