My Rams vs. Falcons predictions dive into the opening odds to make my early picks for the final Monday Night Football game of the regular season. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. ET from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (ESPN), with the Rams listed as an 8 or 8.5-point road betting favorite.
While Atlanta and Kirk Cousins have shown some fight with two consecutive wins, I'm backing the visiting Rams to cover the spread as part of our NFL Week 17 predictions.

Los Angeles is a league-best 11-4 against the spread and has won by an average of 21.4 points against teams that currently have a losing record - Atlanta is 6-9 entering this matchup.
The Rams can still win the NFC West and lock up a first-round bye with the conference's No. 1 seed, so expect NFL MVP odds favorite Matthew Stafford to remain locked in through the end of the regular season.
He just threw for 457 yards and three touchdowns against an elite Seahawks defense; imagine what he can do against this mediocre Falcons unit.

An overwhelming 92% of bets so far have come in on Los Angeles at BetMGM, so I expect this spread to go as high as -9.5 by kickoff. I would feel comfortable backing the Rams at -9.5, but would stay away from an ATS pick at the key betting number of 10 if it reaches that point. Back the Rams now at -8 or -8.5 before the spread grows.
