Uncontested through the first three weeks of the NFL season, Josh Allen officially has company atop the NFL Clutch Factor power rankings, with the Los Angeles Rams' Matthew Stafford joining him after a near-perfect outing.

Who else impressed last week, and which signal callers fell like a thrill-seeking skydiver? Along with the power rankings, I've featured a pair of player props and NFL picks to complement our NFL predictions for Week 5.

💰 Best clutch QB prop bets for Week 5

Our NFL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area

⬆️ Matthew Stafford Over 234.5 passing yards (-111) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stafford doesn't have to worry about Nick Bosa on Thursday Night Football, which should provide marginally more time for him in the pocket. I expect him to exploit that advantage and secure at least 235 passing yards for the fourth time in five games. A winning $10 bet at DraftKings would yield a $9.01 profit.

Best odds: -111 via DraftKings

⬆️ Dak Prescott Over 237.5 passing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Prescott hit the Over on this number in three of four games, with the exception occurring in the opener against a Philadelphia Eagles team receiving the second-shortest Super Bowl odds

Despite the Jets allowing more than 238 passing yards only once this season, against Rodgers in Week 1, they have the third-worst defensive pass DVOA. And we all know how much the Cowboys' offense relies on Dak's arm.

Of the best sports betting sites, BetMGM offers the lowest total, with DraftKings (244.5) the highest.

Best odds: -115 via BetMGM

🐏 Matthew Stafford bombarded the Colts

Stafford aerially bombarded the Colts' defense to the tune of 375 passing yards and three TDs. He also spearheaded his first fourth-quarter comeback and game-winning drive of the season, helping him ascend the power rankings to join Allen atop the summit.

I backed the Rams to cover against the Colts, and they duly obliged thanks to Stafford's 88-yard touchdown pass to Tutu Atwell with just 1:33 remaining.

The Rams tied the game at 20 on the previous possession, with Stafford and Puka Nacua connecting from nine yards out. I also backed the Rams in my Week 5 NFL picks against the spread, with a detailed assessment provided in the 49ers vs. Rams prediction.

Stafford has the third-best rating under pressure for QBs with at least 50 dropbacks, according to PFF, and he's among the top 10 in red-zone efficiency, deserving his place alongside Allen as the most clutch QB through four weeks.

🤠 Dak Prescott lets loose against Packers

I shudder to think where the Dallas Cowboys would be without Dak Prescott. The Cowboys' signal caller has the most passing yards (1,119), five more than Stafford, accumulating 319 and adding three TD passes against the Green Bay Packers.

His exploits, along with George Pickens' 134 receiving yards, were the only reasons the Cowboys stood a chance. Most impressively, he did it all without star receiver CeeDee Lamb.

If you haven't yet seen his outrageous fadeaway bomb completion to Jalen Tolbert in overtime after scrambling out of the pocket, enjoy:

Prescott deals with pressure the best of any QB, according to PFF, and he's the driving force behind Dallas' fifth-ranked offense via DVOA.

Thanks to one of the best QB performances of the season, the 32-year-old ascended the power rankings, moving from a share of 11th last week to fifth.

🔴 Vintage Patrick Mahomes dominates Ravens

If you want to see a quintessential vintage Patrick Mahomes' performance, watch and rewatch his outing against the Baltimore Ravens. Admittedly, he faced a Ravens defense that was barely recognizable, decimated by injuries across the board.

But as most champions do, Mahomes took full advantage, tossing four TD passes for the first time since October 2023. Last season's most clutch QB became the fastest to hit 250 passing touchdowns, surpassing Aaron Rodgers and further reinforcing his dominance in the sport.

In the process, he shot up the NFL MVP odds leaderboard, now receiving the third-shortest odds. He was also named the Offensive Player of the Week alongside Nacua.

Despite that outstanding performance, Mahomes has ground to make up in these power rankings, mainly due to having no fourth-quarter comebacks or game-winning drives.

He has also struggled when put under pressure and hasn't performed up to his top-tier standards in the fourth quarter. However, I fully expect him to climb the Clutch Factor rankings as he did the MVP odds totem pole.

🗒️ More Week 4 takeaways

  • Stafford and Caleb Williams were the only QBs to orchestrate fourth-quarter comebacks in Week 4
  • Prescott is the highest ranked clutch QB (5th) with only one win
  • Both QBs at the bottom of the rankings, Joe Flacco and Russell Wilson, lost their starting jobs
  • Of the 10 most clutch QBs, four lost in Week 4 (Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson (injured), Daniel Jones, Justin Herbert).
  • Although he has been caught by Stafford, Allen has remained atop the leaderboard since the start of the season
  • Herbert dropped from fifth to ninth while Mayfield went from fourth to eighth, with both QBs being protected by depleted offensive lines
