There was some significant movement in our NFL Clutch Factor power rankings, an expected scenario at this embryonic stage of the 2025-26 NFL season.

The reigning MVP, however, was not subject to any movement as he remains the most clutch signal caller entering Week 3. He also remains atop the NFL MVP odds.

But where does the QB on your team stand, and will he become more clutch as the season transpires?

As part of our NFL picks, I've detailed how clutch each QB has been thus far. The power rankings complement the NFL predictions for Week 3

🏈 NFL Clutch Factor power rankings 2025

The Clutch Factor power rankings below are graded out of 100 and are based on each quarterback's cumulative performances throughout the season.

Injured QBs do not get penalized for being on the treatment table and are graded based on their time on the field. However, they must play at least 50% of the games to appear on the leaderboard. For last year's rankings and clutch ratings methodology, see our initial NFL clutch ratings.

You can also have a look at last week's NFL clutch ratings.

🐏 Matthew Stafford makes being clutch look easy

So far, so good for Matthew Stafford, his back, and the Los Angeles Rams.

Showing no ill effects from the preseason back injury, fingers crossed, that received more headlines than a Hollywood scandal, Stafford has gone about his business exactly as you'd expect from the grizzled veteran.

The Rams trailed at halftime in Tennessee but outscored the Titans 23-6 in the second half. Stafford led his offense to three touchdowns and a field goal in four of their five second-half possessions.

So far this season, Stafford is 7-for-9 on deep throws, with the two incompletions being drops. That's good for an outrageous 99.9 rating at PFF, easily the best of any QB.

Can he be even more clutch in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles? Our Mike Spector thinks so, which he covered in his Week 3 upset picks.

🐴 Daniel Jones stampedes the Broncos

Is Daniel Jones more clutch than Lamar Jackson? Unequivocally, no, at least not from the macro perspective. While nobody of sound mind will mistake Danny Dimes for being more clutch than the two-time MVP winner, Jones has been more clutch over the tiny, two-game sample size to start this season.

I don't even think Jones envisioned his first two games under center for the Indianapolis Colts transpiring so immaculately.

Mr. Cast Aside is enjoying an impressive resurgence, leading his offense to points in all but two drives through the first two weeks. After squashing the Miami Dolphins in Week 1, Danny Dimes spearheaded a fourth-quarter comeback against one of the most highly touted defenses.

Speaking of Denver's defense, Jones made it look ordinary, throwing for 316 yards and a TD.

Sure, he got some luck on the Broncos' last-gasp penalty debacle, but what do they say about being good? Sometimes, luck is part of the equation (or something like that).

⛵️ Baker Mayfield leads Buccaneers to second straight 4th quarter comeback

Baker Mayfield is a polarizing quarterback, with some rating him as elite and others not so much.

Regardless of where you sit on that fence, Mayfield has been clutch when his team has needed it the most, demonstrated by orchestrating two fourth-quarter comebacks and two game-winning drives already.

Despite being frustrated for long periods against the formidable Houston Texans' pass rush, Mayfield marched Tampa Bay 80 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown with six seconds remaining.

His most clutch play came on 4th and 10, where he ducked to avoid the oncoming onslaught, scampered free, picked up 15 yards and the first down. All of that despite dealing with a makeshift offensive line that was without Tristan Wirfs and right tackle Luke Goedeke, who was injured during the game.

While it's unlikely he'll be in the MVP conversation when the dust settles on the 2025 season, he is inarguably among the most clutch QBs through the first two weeks.

🦁 Jared Goff takes Week 1 frustration out on former coach

How did you like that, Ben Johnson?

If I were Jared Goff, that's what I'd be asking my former offensive coordinator, who took much of the credit for Detroit's explosive offense while he called the shots at Ford Field.

Goff recovered magnificently after a frustrating Week 1 against a Green Bay Packers defense that is arguably the most terrifying around. The 30-year-old gunslinger made Chicago's defense look like it belongs in the Mountain West Conference.

He matched a career high in TD passes (5) and threw for 334 yards. Most importantly, he ascended the clutch QB power rankings, moving from 25th to 11th.

🗒️ More Week 2 takeaways

  • Last season's most clutch QB, Patrick Mahomes, dropped from 10th to 16th on the leaderboard after losing his third straight game for the first time
  • The top seven QBs on the leaderboard have led their teams to a 2-0 start
  • Mayfield, Jones, Dak Prescott, and Jake Browning orchestrated game-winning drive and fourth-quarter comebacks in Week 2
  • Russell Wilson is the highest ranked QB (tied for 18th) for those with a winless start
  • Josh Allen has remained atop the leaderboard in the first two weeks
  • Lamar Jackson, after his four TD passes against the Cleveland Browns, improved from 13th in Week 1 to 5th in Week 2
  • Prescott moved from 22nd in Week 1 to a tie for 8th in Week 2
  • Trevor Lawrence has the worst Clutch Factor rating after his team imploded in the second half against the Joe Burrow-less Cincinnati Bengals

👀 What to watch for in Week 3

🦬 While our against-the-spread picks, along with the majority of the betting public, don't expect a close game, one of Allen's two game-winning drives last season came against the Miami Dolphins

🐂 C.J. Stroud, who is 3-1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, spearheaded a fourth-quarter comeback and game-winning drive in Week 4 against them last season. With another close game expected, are more late-game heroics on the cards?

🐾 Bryce Young mounted a game-winning drive against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18 last season, his fourth of the season. The Panthers, who host the Falcons in Week 3, did significant damage to Atlanta's playoff aspirations with that overtime victory. Will history repeat itself?

⛵️ Mayfield has already mounted two fourth-quarter comebacks this season. Will he need to make it three when the Buccaneers face the New York Jets at MetLife, or will it be a more straightforward day at the office?

⚡️ Justin Herbert, ranked No. 3 in the clutch power rankings, takes on the Denver Broncos at home. In the corresponding game last season, Herbert led his team to a fourth-quarter comeback

🌵 Kyler Murray was responsible for one of the most memorable comebacks last season when he put the Arizona Cardinals on his back to overturn a late deficit in San Francisco against the 49ers. Will the birds soar again against the injury-ravaged 49ers thanks to their maestro under center?
