⬆️ Josh Jacobs Over 77.5 rushing yards (-114 at FanDuel) ⭐⭐

This is a sheer volume play as part of our best prime-time bets for Week 2.

Josh Jacobs recorded 19 totes last week, and he'll likely be in line for more against a rushing defense that was the second-worst unit in the NFL a season ago. That's right, the Commanders coughed up 143 yards per game on the ground last season; coupled with the volume Jacobs receives, this could very well be my lock of the week, especially if Green Bay owns the lead in the fourth quarter.

All of our best sports betting sites are sitting on or close to the O/U of 77.5 yards, with the Under juiced to -115. The 53.49% implied probability on these -114 odds at FanDuel would result in $8.70 in profits on a winning $10 wager.

⬇️ Jacory Croskey-Merritt Under 41.5 rushing yards (-120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Washington rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt made quite the impression in his NFL debut, racking up a game-high 82 yards on just 10 carries against the Giants. But now, the former Arizona star faces a tougher challenge - his first road test in the league, on a short week, against a defense that looked dominant in Week 1.

Green Bay held Detroit’s dynamic rushing duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery to 44 rushing yards on a combined 20 carries. It was a sign that the Packers shored up a big weakness, as they allowed the fifth-most rushing yards in the league last year.

I expect Croskey-Merritt’s workload to mimic last week’s. If I’m right, he’d have to average nearly four yards per tote to beat this prop - not happening, which is why he's one of my best Commanders vs. Packers player prop bets for Thursday Night Football. For this one, Caesars offers the optimum number and odds (-120), with a 54.55% win probability.

⬆️ Lamar Jackson Over 216.5 passing yards (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

You're telling me that after losing to the Buffalo Bills in the most heartbreaking fashion on Sunday Night Football in Week 1 that Jackson isn't going to throw for more than 216 yards? I'd have to call you a crazy person if you are. He's undoubtedly one of my best NFL player props this week.

Jackson went over this number 12 times last season, and while the Cleveland Browns did hold Joe Burrow to just 113 yards last week, it was Chase Brown who was the focal point of that offense with 21 rush attempts. Now, Derrick Henry will undoubtedly star in this game as well, but Jackson played the Browns twice a season ago and went over this number both times - including a 23-of-38, 289-yard performance in Week 8.

The -112 juice (which carries a 52.83% implied probability) is worth paying up for at DraftKings, as the O/U there is lower than the total of 220.5 at other sportsbooks. A $10 winning wager will net you $8.93 in profit.

⬆️ Justin Fields Over 187.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Justin Fields had a fantastic New York Jets debut, throwing for 218 yards and a touchdown and rushing for 48 yards and two touchdowns, all while playing mistake-free football.

He'll be going up against a defense and secondary that got absolutely torched by Jackson and Co. on Sunday Night Football in Week 1. Not only will Fields be going up against a defensive unit that might be in a lot of trouble this year, but the man on the other side is going to be putting up a ton of points. The NFL MVP odds favorite, Josh Allen, is the leading candidate for the award for a reason.

In that type of game script, you can expect this run-heavy offense to turn into a pass-heavy one quite quickly, especially if they're down by a couple scores come halftime - which is definitely in the realm of possibilities in this division matchup.

Look for Fields to drop back closer to 25 times in this one, which should be enough to get us over this number. Stick to DraftKings for this wager, as other sportsbooks have his total at or near the 190.5 area. The -114 odds will pay you $8.77 on a $10 winning wager.

🔥 Dyami Brown anytime touchdown scorer (+340) ⭐⭐⭐

Brown caught three of four targets for 52 yards (with a long of 23) in his Jaguars debut last week. The Bengals allowed Joe Flacco to pass for 290 yards while surrendering a 66.7% catch rate, and Trevor Lawrence should fare even better against a defense that allowed 278 passing yards per game last year - good for 28th in the NFL as a unit.

A $10 winning wager will pay you $34 over at DraftKings, which is the best sportsbook for this specific play, as others are sitting closer to +320 than the +340 you're getting here.

❓ NFL betting FAQs

What are the best NFL player props for Week 2?

My best NFL player props for Week 2 back Josh Jacobs to go over 76.5 rushing yards, Lamar Jackson to throw for over 216.5 yards, and Dyami Brown to score a touchdown.

How do NFL player props work?

Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more NFL odds.
