Kickoff from Soldier Field in Chicago is set for 8 p.m. ET (Prime Video). The Packers enter as a 1.5-point betting favorite, while the Bears aim to win a playoff game for the first time since 2010. Caleb Williams looks to buck the trend of quarterbacks making their first playoff start. I've also backed Christian Watson to score a touchdown as part of our NFL playoff predictions.

π» Can Caleb Williams overcome poor record of QBs in first playoff game?
NFL QBs in their first playoff start have a poor record, with a 27-46 ATS mark (37% cover rate) since 2003. While I believe Bryce Young will fall victim to that fate, which I covered in my Rams vs. Panthers prediction, I'm confident Williams can buck the trend and overcome the first-game curse.
Williams, who sits in second in our NFL playoff QB rankings, is 6-2 in games decided by five points or fewer, with the first defeat occurring in the opening game of the season, a few weeks before his and Ben Johnson's chemistry properly percolated.
Not only has Williams adapted expertly to Johnson's masterful play-calling, but he's also immeasurably calmer and more composed in the pocket since his rookie season. It helps having an offensive line that isn't as porous as a collection of side-by-side open manholes.

Neither team enters the playoffs as they would have intended, but at least the Bears look the part. Green Bay is 0-3 since Micah Parsons' injury and 4-6 since Tucker Kraft's season ended.
The Bears lost three of five to end the season, but they had the chance to win two of those games on the last play. The other was a forgivable close defeat to the Detroit Lions in Week 18.
The Packers, meanwhile, stumble into the playoffs. While Week 18 was an inconsequential defeat, Matt LaFleur's team didn't look right in the previous three losses. Of the best sports betting sites, DraftKings offers the best price.

Dear Watson, I hope it's elementary.
Watson scored two TDs against the Bears at home in the Packers' Week 14 victory. He has three TDs in the last four games and is facing a Bears defense that allowed 32 passing scores in the regular season, the fifth most.
I can't see the Bears simply flicking a switch to fix their subpar pass defense. Watson was the most instrumental part of Green Bay's offense in the Week 17 loss to Baltimore, amassing 113 receiving yards while scoring a TD. Malik Willis was under center, but I don't see the scenario changing much with Jordan Love returning.
