In what isn't much of a surprise to Patriots fans, the team waived first-round pick LG Cole Strange after three seasons. Strange, who started 29 games in his career, had lost his job to rookie third-round pick Jared Wilson.
Speaking of players from the 2022 Draft, only third-rounder Marcus Jones remains with the team from that class.
According to media reports, New England had multiple trade offers for safety Kyle Dugger, but through the cut deadline Tuesday (Aug. 26), he remained with the team.
Running back TreVeyon Henderson showed what his potential includes the first time he touched the ball in preseason against the Washington Commanders, as he took a kickoff and returned it 100 yards for a touchdown. Heading into Week 1, Henderson is listed as second on the depth chart at running back behind veteran Rhamondre Stevenson and ahead of Antonio Gibson.
