Wide receiver Keenan Allen, who spent his first 11 seasons with the Chargers - first in San Diego and then in Los Angeles, is back with the team after just one season with the Chicago Bears. He signed a one-year, $8.52 million deal, which makes him one of the highest-paid players on the team.
Running back Najee Harris, who signed a deal in the offseason to come to the Chargers from the Pittsburgh Steelers is trying to come back from an eye injury he suffered over the Fourth of July holiday in a fireworks mishap.
Backup quarterback Trey Lance, who played several series in the team's second preseason game against the New Orleans Saints is dealing with somme sort of injury to his throwing hand. He was seen at practice Wednesday wearing a brace on that hand and sat out team drills.
