Kyler Murray Prop Picks: Improvements Coming on Thursday Night Football?

Check out our top NFL prop picks for Cardinals QB Kyler Murray on Thursday Night Football in Week 7.

Can the Arizona Cardinals finally find an offensive spark against the New Orleans Saints? Find out what we think within our top Kyler Murray prop picks for Thursday Night Football.

The Cardinals are entering Thursday Night Football riding a two-game losing skid. Despite that, they are still only a game back of the rest of the NFC West lead with each of the three other teams at 3-3. They have struggled to find offensive balance while suffering through injuries and suspensions.

This week, they get a key piece back in their lineup as wide receiver DeAnde Hopkins returns to the lineup from suspension. Also joining him is the newly acquired Robbie Anderson who Arizona picked up in a trade with the Carolina Panthers. These two will help bolster a sagging Cardinals passing attack which will go a long way in helping Murray’s performance against the Saints.

Kyler Murray Prop Predictions vs. Saints

Under 33.5 rushing yards (+104)

In the last two weeks, Murray has rushed for 42 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles and 100 yards against the Seattle Seahawks. However, before that, his best output on the ground was 29 yards in Week 1. This week, he gets back his favorite passing target in Hopkins. Along with the addition of Anderson by way of trade, this will open up the Arizona passing game and reduce the need for Murray to take off from the pocket.

This works out well for this prop considering the Saints have allowed only one quarterback to surpass this rushing total. In Week 1, Atlanta Falcons QB Marcus Mariota carried the ball 12 times for 72 yards against the Saints. The closest anyone has come since is Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow's 25 yards on four attempts last week.

Under 0.5 Interceptions (-105)

You are getting value on the Under for this prop given the fact that Murray has thrown at least one interception in his last three games. Overall this season, he has been picked off four times. However, he has been without his most impactful wide receiver and the rest of the offense has suffered as a result. Hopkins’ return will take pressure off of Murray to force throws.

This week, Murray faces a Saints defense that has registered only one interception this season in 193 pass attempts against them. Murray has faced New Orleans once in his career and did not turn the ball over.

Over 1.5 touchdown passes (+118)

The Cardinals are averaging just one passing touchdown per game with Murray tossing six passes into the end zone. He has, though, been without the services of his best pass catcher who will return to the field this week. Last season, the Arizona signal caller threw 24 total touchdowns. He accounted for multiple passing scores in nine games.

New Orleans allowed three touchdown passes in each of its last two games. Two weeks ago, Geno Smith crossed this prop mark. Last week, Burrow exceeded this total. Every quarterback has thrown at least one touchdown pass against New Orleans except Mariota in Week 1.
