Our Joe Flacco NFL player prop predictions based on the best NFL odds dive into whether an elite late-season addition can lead the Cleveland Browns to a postseason victory over the Houston Texans in Saturday's Wild Card Weekend matchup.

No one expected to see Joe Flacco starting in the NFL in January 2024, especially for a team that handed out a $230-million contract to a quarterback. However, he was called into action in December after an injury to Deshaun Watson, and he's led the Browns 4-1 clip in his five starts down the stretch.

The Browns enter the postseason with plenty of confidence as the top wild-card seed in a wide-open AFC. If the Browns (11-6) can defeat the Houston Texans (10-7) on Saturday, Flacco will earn his eighth career road playoff victory, passing Tom Brady for the No. 1 spot on that all-time list.

Joe Flacco Over 0.5 interceptions (-148 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lost in what truly is an incredible story is that Flacco hasn't taken care of the ball since joining the Browns. Flacco has thrown eight interceptions since returning to the NFL, tossing at least one turnover in all five games thus far.

PFF has charged Flacco with eight turnover-worthy plays this season, recording a turnover-worthy rate of 3.6%. That is the highest turnover-worthy rate among quarterbacks slated to start this postseason, with Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers right behind at 3.5%.

But the best part about this wager is the price, as FanDuel is offering a discount at -148. For comparison, the rest of our best sports betting apps are charging -170 to -185 for Flacco to throw an interception against the Texans, who picked him off twice when these two teams met on Dec. 24.

Joe Flacco longest completion Over 38.5 yards (-113 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐

What if I told you that Flacco had the highest number for longest completion among all quarterbacks competing during Wild Card Weekend? Well, technically Flacco and Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott both have a longest completion line of 38.5 yards for this week.

The Browns have been aggressive since Flacco joined the team, pushing the ball downfield whenever possible and trusting him to make a play. He has cleared this mark in all five starts thus far, including a season-best 75-yard completion in a 36-22 win over the Texans. Flacco has been credited with 10 big-time throws via PFF.

FanDuel is offering the same prop at 37.5 yards, but the Over has moved from -114 to -128 since betting lines were opened. We prefer taking the -113 value at Caesars for a similar wager, especially with the rest of the market trading the Over at -115 or -120.

SGP: Joe Flacco 200-plus passing yards + Browns ML (+100 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

Flacco has a passing yards prop of 268.5 at most of our best sportsbooks. Considering he's thrown for 300-plus yards in four straight games, it's certainly not a bad line. We prefer to stay away because we don't see an edge based on projections.

I do believe the Browns will ultimately prevail as short favorites on the road. Rookie QB C.J. Stroud has been incredible, but this is his first playoff game. As C Jackson Cowart recently explained in this feature, QBs making their first playoff start are just 27-50 straight up since 2002.

Nobody is saying Flacco is better than Stroud, who already has a case to be one of the top-10 signal-callers in the league. But Stroud could struggle on the big stage, particularly against the No. 2 defense in the league via DVOA.

Flacco, meanwhile, should make enough plays on the offensive end to help Cleveland advance with a win on Saturday. DraftKings is offering +100 odds for this same-game parlay, whereas FanDuel is charging -113 for the same ticket. We wouldn't pay more than -105 for this SGP.
