I'm diving into my best Jets vs. Buccaneers player props for Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET (FOX) game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. The Buccaneers are favored by 6.5 points, but one of my best NFL picks for this game is Baker Mayfield to struggle.
The Jets have been easy to run against this season, so I expect a healthy dose of Bucky Irving. And I’m looking at an unexpected Jets’ receiving threat in a solid matchup.

⬇️ Baker Mayfield Under 238.5 passing yards (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mayfield has thrown for 215 yards or fewer in both games this season, but that’s not the only reason this is one of the best Jets vs. Buccaneers player props. The Buccaneers’ offensive line is a mess with Tristan Wirfs, Luke Goedeke, and Cody Mauch all out. Because of this, I expect the Buccaneers to run often against a defense that has allowed 277 yards this season.
Even if the Buccaneers pass more than expected, Mayfield will struggle to find success against a defense that has allowed just 424 passing yards this season. Though the Jets have allowed 7.4 yards per attempt, after he was sacked four times last week, I expect Mayfield to be under constant pressure, leaving him unable to take advantage of this weakness.
The price of -112 at DraftKings implies a 52.83% chance this Under hits. A $10 bet would pay $8.93.
⬆️Bucky Irving Over 15.5 rushing attempts (-129) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Last week, Irving ran 17 times for 71 yards. It was a huge improvement over his 14 for 37 game in Week 1.
Because the Jets have been easy to run against this season, they entered Week 3 allowing the fourth-most carries. But because of all the injuries to the Buccaneers' offensive line, I can’t back Irving to rush for Over 70.5 yards, even if this game calls for a favorable game script. But I do expect the Buccaneers to run a lot. Considering Irving has 31 carries and Rachaad White has just 12, it’s obvious who the workhorse will be on Sunday.
Because Irving managed 17 rushes last week, I wouldn’t be scared to take this at 16.5 for a better price. For now, DraftKings’ price of -129 is best and implies a 56.33% chance Irving hits this Over. A $10 bet would pay $7.75.
⬆️ Mason Taylor Over 2.5 receptions (+117) ⭐⭐⭐

Taylor has only two catches for 25 yards this season. However, oddsmakers seem to have faith in him this Sunday, as his receptions total is set at 2.5 and his receiving yards total is as high as 23.5.
Though Taylor’s numbers are nothing to be impressed with, the Buccaneers allowed Kyle Pitts Sr. to catch seven passes for 59 yards in Week 1, and in Week 2, Dalton Schultz had three catches for 29 yards. While Schultz’s stat line isn’t impressive, he did account for 23% of Stroud’s completions in the game.
Tyrod Taylor only threw to Taylor once last week, so this is just a three-star play. That said, the price of +117 at DraftKings is excellent and suggest a 46.08% chance this Over hits. A $10 bet would pay $11.70.

How do NFL player props work?
Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more NFL odds markets.
