Two opponents with contrasting fortunes meet in the Florida sunshine on Sunday. The Jacksonville Jaguars are on a three-game slide, while the New York Giants have surprised many with an impressive run, recording three wins in a row. Here are our picks and predictions for Giants-Jaguars.
The Giants are 5-1 and head into Sunday on a three-game winning streak that’s included victories over the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens. Running back Saquon Barkley has been the Giants’ main threat on offense during that run, combining for 363 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns.
Trevor Lawrence has thrown nine touchdown passes for the Jaguars this season and has tossed multiple scores in half of their games. The Jags have a top-five rush defense and have given up the seventh-fewest points this year.

Giants vs. Jaguars Odds Analysis
This has been viewed as one of the more questionable lines of Week 7 with the 5-1 Giants receiving plenty of hype this season. Unsurprisingly, bettors are split. New York has drawn 64% of the tickets as a public underdog, while Jacksonville has the support of 53% of the handle. The consensus spread has grown from Jaguars -3 at opening to -3.5 as of gameday.
The Over/Under has ticked up from an opening line of 42 to 43.5 as of Sunday morning. Sixty-one percent of the tickets account for 64% of the handle on the Over.

Giants vs. Jaguars ATS Pick
Giants -3 (-105) ★★★
The Giants have exceeded expectations with their 5-1 start to the season. New York’s scoring margin is only plus-2.3, which ranks 12th in the league.
Despite their 2-4 record, the Jaguars’ scoring margin is plus-4, which is sixth best. The Jaguars own a plus-24 point differential, sixth best in the NFL, despite a 2-4 record. It is the best point differential by a team with a losing record through six games since the 2010 Chargers.
The Giants are the only team that hasn’t won a road game at the Jaguars.
Giants vs. Jaguars O/U Pick
Under 42 (-107) ★★★★
New York likes to run the ball, utilizing its primary weapon in Barkley. He has 770 yards from scrimmage this season, with 616 on the ground. Jacksonville’s run defense has given up the fifth-fewest yards this year. The Giants will struggle if they’re forced to throw the ball. Only Cooper Rush has thrown for fewer yards than Jones this year.
No quarterback has thrown fewer touchdowns than Jones’ five. Jones will struggle to lead his team through the air if the Jags can stifle the Giants' run game.
New York has a bottom-10 defense in points allowed, and it's given up the third-most rushing yards. If the Jags get an early lead, they can control the clock and keep the Giants out of the endzone.
Giants vs. Jaguars Prop Pick
Lawrence Over 1.5 passing TDs (+105) ★★★★★
Lawrence completed 20-of-22 passes (90.9%) in Jacksonville’s loss to the Colts last week. The 23-year-old became the youngest player ever to complete 90% of at least 20 pass attempts in a game. He’s in the top 10 in passing touchdowns (nine) this season and has thrown multiple scores in half of Jacksonville’s games so far.
The Jaguars’ receivers have a 10.3% drop rate, the worst in the NFL. However, there is cause for optimism because none of Lawrence’s passes were dropped last week.
Former Pro Bowl tight end Evan Engram is set for a revenge game against the team that cut him in the offseason. Lawrence praised Engram ahead of the game this week, so expect him to target tight end in the red zone.
