With last week’s win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Giants (9-6-1) clinched their first playoff berth since 2016 and are locked into the No. 6 seed. The 38-10 victory was their highest scoring output this season and was their first double-digit win.

Philadelphia (13-3) is amid its first losing streak of the season. The Eagles were held to 10 points last week against the New Orleans Saints, which was the second time they failed to score 20 points this season.

Giants vs. Eagles Odds Analysis

The Philadelphia Eagles opened as a 13.5-point favorite, but that number is long gone thanks to the announcement that Davis Webb will start at quarterback. With Webb and Jalen Hurts announced as the starting quarterbacks, the Eagles are now trading as 16.5-point favorites. However, that line movement does not reflect the betting splits, as 63% of the tickets and cash are on the underdog Giants.

The total has held firm at 43 all week, with a couple of sportsbooks moving to 42.5. Sharp action has backed the Under, as 34% of the bets but 78% of the handle is on that side.

Giants vs. Eagles Pick

Under 43 ⭐⭐⭐

The lofty point spread suggests the Giants will rest many key starters, given they can't change their playoff seeding. One player who would benefit from a week off is Saquon Barkley, who has played the most snaps (821) of all running backs this season. However, with head coach Brian Daboll not revealing the plans for the game, it is difficult to gauge whether or not the big spread is warranted.

Thus, the safer play is the Under. Through the first 14 games, Philadelphia’s offense had a 69 Total QBR, averaged 4.8 yards per rush, and had a pass-block win rate of 64%. In the last two games with Gardner Minshew under center, the Total QBR dropped to 38, and the Eagles averaged 3.5 yards per rush and a 54% pass-block win rate.

Even if Jalen Hurts is back under center, there is no telling how he will be affected by the injury to his throwing shoulder.

Philadelphia is the first team since 1982 to have four players with 10 or more sacks and is the first to record six or more in five consecutive games. That has to strike fear in Daboll, who likely will not subject Daniel Jones to that punishment for long, if at all.

From a value perspective, there is nothing separating four of the five major sportsbooks, as all have the O/U listed at 43 with standard -110 juice.

The only glaring difference is at FanDuel, at which the spread is 42.5 but the Under does come at a slightly more profitable -105.
