Philadelphia is mired in its worst stretch of the 2023-24 NFL season ahead of Monday's trip to Tampa Bay, and we're offering our top Eagles vs. Buccaneers prediction based on the best NFL odds for Wild Card Weekend.

The Philadelphia Eagles (11-6) enter the postseason in truly abysmal form, losing five of their last six games to spoil a 10-1 start and cede the NFC East title to the Dallas Cowboys. Now they'll try to keep their season alive with a win Monday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-8) in the final game of NFL Wild Card Weekend.

Jalen Hurts is good to go for this showdown after suffering a finger injury in Week 18. However, No. 1 wide receiver A.J. Brown will miss the contest with a knee injury. The Eagles will, therefore, rely on their other skill-position players to carry the load in his absence.

If the Eagles can play like the team that appeared to be the cream of the crop for the first half of the season, they should win this comfortably. However, if the offense can't make up for one of the worst defenses in the league, the Buccaneers could keep their improbable postseason run going into the Divisional Round.

To accompany our Eagles vs. Buccaneers NFL player props, our Jalen Hurts player props, and our Baker Mayfield player props, here are our best Eagles vs. Buccaneers predictions and our NFL picks (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Eagles vs. Buccaneers predictions for Wild Card Weekend

Rachaad White Over 16.5 rushing attempts (+100 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

This game is tricky to project due to a lack of information regarding the health of Eagles offensive players. Hurts said on Thursday that he hadn't thrown a ball since Sunday's game, so his effectiveness is unknown. Therefore, we'll work with what we know, and what we know is that Rachaad White has been an absolute monster this season.

White went Over this rushing attempts total in nine of 17 games this season and five of his final six. Based on his projections, we can expect White to be very involved once again.

Across five projection models, White's average rushing attempts total is 17.09. Therefore, the prices we're getting at most of our other best sportsbooks don't offer a ton of value, but DraftKings' even-money offering certainly does.

If we run that projection of 17.09 against DraftKings' +100 odds on Over 16.5 attempts, we're getting just better than 8% positive expected value on this bet.

Perhaps it's just a coincidence, but following the Eagles' move to make Matt Patricia the team's defensive play-caller, teams had far more success running on Philadelphia. That was never more apparent than in the Eagles' loss to the Arizona Cardinals, during which running back James Conner torched Philly for 128 rushing yards on 26 carries.

Tampa Bay will likely want to protect Mayfield from himself and limit potential turnovers, which means it'll feature White early and often, especially if the Bucs smell blood in the water.

Chris Godwin Over 4.5 receptions (-152 via BetRivers) ⭐⭐⭐

As things stand, I would hurry to play this Over only at either BetRivers or Caesars. However, you're still getting roughly 5% +EV by playing it at any of our other best sports betting sites except for FanDuel, so it's still a fine bet at -160 if your options are limited.

If the odds for Over 4.5 receptions continue to move the way they have since this game's player props markets opened late Tuesday night, Godwin will likely be trading at 5.5 receptions before the weekend.

It can seem daunting at times, but being able to read odds movement is just as important as finding trusted projection models and having plenty of our best sportsbooks to line shop at.

Eagles vs. Buccaneers odds analysis

This game opened with the Eagles as 2.5-point favorites, but all of our sites with the best sportsbook promos have moved Philadelphia to a -3 favorite now. That movement has likely been more a result of sportsbooks adjusting the spread on their own, as the betting action on the spread is fairly evenly split, with 53% of the action on the Eagles.

As far as the total goes, it opened at 44.5 or 44 at our best live betting sites and has moved slightly, with FanDuel offering the low of 43.5. Roughly 57% of the action on the total has been on the Under.
